I went through a lot of gloves before I found the PIG Full Dexterity Tactical gloves. When I first started, I right away rejected any gloves that included special plastic or kevlar molded knuckle guards. I figured that while shooting in competition or training, or even in use on the street, having a hunk of plastic banging around and adding to the thickness of my hand would hinder more than help. Â Stick to the basics. Very few of the gloves I tried out below the $50 price point did the basics well.

Barrett MRAD Review

My first impression of the Barrett MRAD (Multi-Role Adaptive Design) straight out of the box was that Barrett had designed a beautiful rifle.Â The rifle I received for my evaluation was a bolt action chambered for .338 Lapua Magnum.

The concept behind Barrettâ€™s MRAD system, is that it provides the shooter with an adaptable modular shooting platform.Â The MRAD can be re-configured to a variety of different calibers depending on the mission or application.

The 338 round was initially developed and sponsored by my community (The Navy SEALs) as an accurate long distance round.Â Iâ€™ve fired half a dozen different platforms and Iâ€™m personally a big fan of the 338 Lapua round.Â At speeds up to 2900 feet per second itâ€™s a flat flying killer out to distances of 1500 meters.
