“Whether it was the Columbine tragedy, or the Virginia Tech massacre, gun-grabbers never hesitate to blame law-abiding Second Amendment supporters for the actions of bloodthirsty lunatics and criminals.
And when the pressure is on, weak-kneed Republicans and so-called “blue dog” Democrats who mouthed pro-gun rhetoric in their campaigns seem all too willing to just “fall in line.”
Supposedly “pro-gun” Republicans like former Vice President Dick Cheney, U.S. Senator Richard Luger (IN) and House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King (NY) have all joined in on the anti-gun hysteria, as well.
You and I can’t let that happen again. Just consider what is at stake, including:
* A new so-called “Assaults Weapon Ban” — targeting ALL semi-automatic rifles and shotguns — which, unlike the Clinton ban, will NEVER expire;
* An outright BAN on “high capacity” magazines — banning the sale and manufacture of magazines holding more than just a handful of rounds;
* A National Concealed-Carry “Standard” — designed to make it even more difficult for law-abiding citizens to carry a gun to protect themselves and their families from murderers like Jared Loughner;
* Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s “Catch All Gun Control Scheme” — to create a national “cannot buy registry,” allowing citizens to be stripped of their Second Amendment rights on a Justice Department whim and effectively banning all private gun sales.”
