Missouri Refuses To Give FBI Concealed Carrier Info

From The Truth About Guns:

On July 13, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt issued a press release indicating that Missouri learned that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is “planning to travel to Missouri in August to do ‘audits’ at sheriff departments across the state.” According to AG Schmitt, the FBI specifically intends to “harvest information on those who have legally obtained a concealed carry permit.” The FBI innocuously calls it an “onsite review of [the counties’] Concealed Carry Weapons Permits…”

ATF Scrambling To Explain Why Agents Interrogated Man About Gun Purchases

From Ammoland:

Both the Washington Times and the Daily Caller began asking ATF questions about the incident. The ATF sent them similar statements:

“The ATF defended itself in a statement to The Washington Times, saying the agents’ actions were ‘entirely appropriate.’ ‘We are unable to comment on the details of any ongoing investigations; however, interviews are an entirely appropriate part of the investigative process for any law enforcement agency,” the Washington Times reported.

Recent Shootings Stopped By Armed Citizens

From WSET ABC 13:

“In the last year, there have been 10 of these — what police say would have been mass public shootings — that would have been worse if not for the presence of somebody legally carrying a gun. Since the beginning of 2020, you have 23 of these instances that have been stopped,” Lott said. “They rarely get national attention.”

EFF’s Guide To Protest Security

From The Electronic Frontier Foundation:

Now, more than ever, citizens must be able to hold those in power accountable and inspire others through the act of protest.

Protecting your electronic devices and digital assets before, during, and after a protest is vital to keeping yourself and your information safe, as well as getting your message out. Theft, damage, confiscation, or forced deletion of media can disrupt your ability to publish your experiences. At the same time, those engaging in protest may be subject to search or arrest, or have their movements and associations mapped. They could become targets of surveillance and repression.

Good Guy With A Gun Destroys Gun Control Narrative

From Reason:

On Monday, a good samaritan with a gun averted a catastrophe at an Indiana mall. [killer’s name redacted], a 20-year old man brought more than 100 rounds of ammunition and three rifles: a Sig Sauer M400 rifle he bought in March 2022; an M&P15 rifle that was found in the mall bathroom and bought in March 2021; and a Glock 33 pistol discovered on his body. In the span of a few minutes, [name redacted] fired 24 rounds, killed three people, and injured two others.

We’ve redacted the killers name so as not to encourage infamy. Reason did not redact the name in the original article.

ATF Agents Demonstrate The Danger Of Gun Lists With Surprise Visit To Home

From Ammoland:

The homeowner, who did not want his name used in this story, is a small businessman – a law-abiding citizen who even ATF acknowledged had done nothing wrong. He went to his front door hesitantly. He left his doorbell camera running to record the encounter.

The older ATF agent told him they were assigned to a task force investigating straw purchases. A straw purchase – a federal felony – occurs when someone buys a firearm on behalf of another person, who is unable to legally purchase a firearm themselves.

Texas Report On Uvalde

From The Truth About Guns:

Other than the attacker, the Committee did not find any “villains” in the course of its investigation. There is no one to whom we can attribute malice or ill motives. Instead, we found systemic failures and egregious poor decision making. We recognize that that the impact of this tragedy is felt most profoundly by the people of Uvalde in ways we cannot fully comprehend. …

From America’s Frontline News:

But Dutch police met the protesters with violent – and even lethal – force, shooting at farmers and nearly killing a minor.

“From the Dutch perspective, I would say that Americans should be very happy they have a Second Amendment and that you should protect that with all your strength.”
