(Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua) More than 7,000 murders in Ciudad Juárez over the past three years attributed to the drug war, have left nearly 8,500 children orphaned, according to an official source for the state of Chihuahua.
To support these children, the government of Chihuahua has created a trust fund to benefit those minors under 14 years old.
Ciudad Juarez is considered the most violent city in Mexico with 3,100 murders in 2010. So far this year, there have been 350 people killed, according to the Attorney General.
