On Oct. 4, the Army issued a notice for 6.8mm caliber prototypes for what the service is terming their Next Generation Squad Weapon-Rifle and the Next Generation Squad Weapon-Automatic Rifle, to replace the M4 Carbine and the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, respectively.

Which Is Better, 6.8 or 300BLK?
