Teen Stabbed In Israel Still Determined To Join IDF

The teen, who left his ultra-Orthodox family in Brooklyn for Israel just over a month ago, told the Ynet news website he hopes to enlist in the IDF’s top commando unit, Sayeret Matkal.

“I was stabbed, but I’ll still enlist in the army and give it my all,” he said. “I’m not afraid of anything.”

It’s a well known fact that the IDF trains some of the best soldiers in the world, but at the source of every good soldier lies an exceptional instructor – and that’s where Cpl. Daniella Stepanoe steps in. Originally born in Israel, she moved to California as a teenager before finally returning to Israel to serve with the IDF. Since then, she has risen through the ranks of the military to become a weapons instructor, and now travels from base to base training everyone from paratroopers to elite special forces units in the use of their weapons. In this video, she talks about what it’s like to serve as a weapons instructor, and takes some time out to show off her skills.
