SureFire To Show New Weapon Light At SHOT Show
Posted by Brian in Accessories, News on 15/Jan/2017 07:00
From SureFire:
SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of the world’s finest—and most innovative—illumination tools and tactical products, will be launching its brand-new XC2 at the 2017 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The XC2 is the next evolution of SureFire’s game changing, ultra-compact pistol lights and builds upon the success of its predecessor, the XC1. It features the same impressive 200-lumen output as the XC1, but also has a 635nm highly visible red-laser. The addition of this laser in conjunction with its 200-lumen white light, makes the XC2 the ultimate compact accessory for concealed-carry. The XC2’s momentary and constant-on switches also feature improved ergonomics, further improving the weaponlight’s overall performance.
Now those who carry concealed not only have the capability to positively identify threats, but also improved low-light target acquisition and the ability to fire from non-standard shooting positions.
To see the XC2, and other brand-new products by SureFire, stop by the SureFire booth (#13968), located on the second level of the main hall of the Sands Expo Center during the 2017 NSSF SHOT Show, January 17 – 20.
Newest SureFire Scout Light® Provides Power-Source VersatilityÂ
Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-end illumination tools and tactical products, has commenced sales of the latest, highly versatile member of its best-selling, ever-expanding family of LED Scout Light® WeaponLights. The new M600 AA Scout Light—for long guns equipped with MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rails—can be powered by AA lithium or AA alkaline batteries, the latter of which are typically more readily available globally.
“The M600 AA’s ability to be powered by two separate types of batteries is a key element to its anticipated success,†said SureFire Product Manager Chris Skahill. “For optimal performance, AA lithiums can be used. But it can also be powered by AA alkalines, which are more readily available and usually easier to find, particularly in remote or rural areas.â€
Powered by two lithium AAs, the M600 AA’s solid-state light emitting diode (LED) generates a maximum output of 200 lumens and produces tactical-level output for up to 3.75 hours on a set of batteries. The output and runtime from two AA alkaline batteries is approximately one-third that from lithium AAs, but this reduced output/runtime is theoretically outweighed by the convenience of using these easier-to-find and often less-expensive power cells. But to maximize output and runtime, SureFire recommends powering the M600 AA with lithium batteries whenever possible.
The M600 AA uses a proprietary Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens to shape the LED’s output into a smooth, flawless beam with ample reach and enough surround light to maintain good situational awareness in close- to medium-range applications. Like all SureFire Scout Lights, it securely attaches to any MIL-STD-1913 rail, the M600 AA utilizing an integral thumbscrew clamp that attaches/detaches the light to said rail in a matter of seconds. Constructed of lightweight aerospace aluminum that’s hard anodized with a Mil-Spec finish for added durability, this new Scout Light can be easily activated via its momentary-/constant-on click-type tailcap switch, or via several remote plug-in switch models available for purchase from SureFire as optional accessories.
The M600 AA Scout Light has an MSRP of $299.00 and is currently available for purchase through authorized SureFire dealers. It will also soon be available for purchase directly from SureFire by calling 800-828-8809 or visiting surefire.com online.

SureFire Adds Two IR-Capable WeaponLights to Its X-Series Lineup
Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-end illumination tools and tactical products, has
released two new models as part of its X-Series family of WeaponLights designed for handguns but can also
be mounted to long guns with Picatinny rails. The versatile X300®V and X400®V IRc feature SureFire’s
ingenious V-Series head, a sealed, selectable head that contains both a white-light and infrared LED inside,
to accommodate missions requiring visible and virtually non-visible (to the naked eye) illumination. By
simply pushing and rotating a self-locking selector switch on the head, a user can switch from white-light to
IR illumination (for use with night vision devices) on the fly, with no infrared filter required. The X400 model
even boasts an infrared laser.
The X300V generates 150 lumens of blinding, tactical-level light on its white-light setting and 120 mW of
infrared illumination when set to IR mode. Light output from either mode is shaped by a proprietary optic—
a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens—into a high-intensity beam with significant reach and sufficient
peripheral illumination for maintaining situational awareness, crucial in military, law enforcement, and
home-defense applications.
The highly anticipated X400V IRc generates the same high-intensity beam at identical outputs in white light
and infrared as the X300V, but it also features a commercially available <0.7 mW infrared laser sight,
suitable for force-on-force training and ideal for stealth operations using night vision devices. As with all
laser-equipped SureFire X400® WeaponLights, the X400V IRc’s laser-adjustment mechanism uses Nylok®
screws that won’t back out from the effects of recoil. And because the IR laser is not visible to the naked
eye, an amber-colored LED indicator illuminates whenever the laser is on, to help prevent unintended
activation.
Like all X-Series WeaponLights, these new models are constructed of lightweight aerospace aluminum
that’s hard anodized with a Mil-Spec finish and are O-ring and gasket sealed for added durability and
weather resistance. The X300V weighs in at less than four ounces—including the weight of the two 123A
lithium batteries that power it—while the X400V model is just under five ounces fully loaded, so neither
model weighs down a weapon. One-finger activation is achieved via a push/toggle switch located on the
rear of both lights; optional DG pistol grip and long-gun remote tape switching is also available. Both
models attach quickly and securely to both Universal and MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rails, and optional
SureFire adapter mounts are available for several popular rail-less handgun makes and models.
The X300V has an MSRP of $389, while the X400V IRc retails for $875. They are currently available for
purchase through authorized SureFire dealers or will soon be available direct from SureFire by calling 800-
828-8809 or by visiting www.surefire.com online.

Surefire WristLight
SureFire 2211® Luminox® WristLight Boasts 300 Lumens with Integral Swiss Timepiece
Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire has expanded its revolutionary line of 2211 WristLights—a whole new category of hands-free illumination tools—with the release of its new SureFire 2211 Luminox whose output maxes out at 300 lumens! This new rechargeable WristLight features a high-performance LED focused by a special refractive optic as the original 2211 WristLight, but it also sports a high-quality timepiece from legendary Swiss watchmaker Luminox.
Created with input from law enforcement professionals, the 2211 Luminox’s light output is designed to automatically align downrange from a pistol held in a standard two-handed grip. This broad, powerful beam is ideal for identifying threats and blinding an aggressor’s night-adapted vision. The LED’s output can be set to 300 lumens with a simple press of either of its ambidextrous switches. There are also two useful lower-output settings of 60 and 15 lumens for tasks where less light and more runtime are called for, such as navigating outdoor trails or loading/unloading gear. These lower levels can be easily accessed by pressing both buttons simultaneously.
The classic Luminox watch of this new WristLight features a Swiss quartz movement, a unidirectional rotating bezel with timer markings, and self-illuminating tritium gas hands and markers that glow bright for easy reading in low-light conditions. Fully integrated into a lightweight but rugged aluminum body, the watch has a hardened, scratch-resistant mineral crystal that protects its face, and gasket sealing for waterproofing. The hard-anodized, gasket-sealed body—which also houses the LED, optic, pushbutton switching, USB charge port, and fuel gauge—is the size of a large sports watch, and it straps securely to the wrist via a comfortable rubber wristband with a stainless steel buckle.
The LED is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, while the Luminox watch is powered by a separate non-rechargeable lithium disk battery for continuous timekeeping even if the rechargeable battery is fully depleted. A built-in LED fuel gauge let’s you know when it’s time to charge the battery, which is easily accomplished via an included USB charging cable.
The SureFire 2211 Luminox has an MSRP of $795.00 and is available for purchase from authorized SureFire dealers or directly from SureFire at www.surefire.com.
