Obama Officials Cried ‘Terrorism’ to Cover Up a Paperwork Error

This shows just how far the Obama administration will go to cover up even the slightest of mistakes. Trampling on the constitution and the rights of individuals is just the work-a-day world of the 44th President of the United States.

What happened next was the real shame. Instead of admitting to the error, high-ranking President Barack Obama administration officials spent years covering it up. Attorney General Eric Holder, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and a litany of other government officials claimed repeatedly that disclosing the reason Ibrahim was detained, or even acknowledging that she’d been placed on a watch list, would cause serious damage to the U.S. national security. Again and again they asserted the so-called “state secrets privilege†to block the 48-year-old woman’s lawsuit, which sought only to clear her name.

New Yorkers Refuse to Turn In Neighbors

Just one New York State resident has been arrested thanks to a gun tip hotline set up by state police, according to the state Department of Criminal Justice Services.
In February of 2012, 11 months before the state passed their stringent gun law known as the NY SAFE Act, a hotline was set up for people to call who thought they knew someone that possessed an illegal gun. If a person was arrested and convicted the tipster would receive a $500 reward.
This information along with the lack of guns registered in Connecticut proves the point that citizens will simply ignore the law when they feel it is unjust.

“It’s basically an AR-15 without the features,” said James Tresmond, a western New York lawyer representing H&H Firearms, a Lackawanna gun shop that’s seeking to sell such a rifle.”
Thanks to modifications by a Texas-based machine shop, the stripped-down rifle has an adapter that connects the spot where the grip would go to the stock, or portion of the rifle that the shooter braces against her shoulder.

Head of DHS Says Syria a Threat to U.S. Security

Johnson said he and other law enforcement and security officials around the world were focused on foreign fighters heading to the bloody war, including those from the United States, Canada and Europe.
U.S. intelligence officials have said a handful of Americans and hundreds of Europeans have already returned to their home countries. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the topic.
Syria isn’t the problem, it’s the people who traveled there and are now in this country.

Two days after Internet porn-blocking campaigner MP Claire Perry announced ISP filters were not overblocking content, the government has announced it is.
In fact it’s such a problem the government is creating a whitelist of sites that should be protected, as well as a system anyone can use to directly report the inadvertent blocking of their site to ISPs or check if their site is affected.

There have been a number of stories over the past week warning that visitors and athletes can expect to be hacked, noting “it isn’t a mater of ‘if,†but a matter of ‘when.’â€
Americans Want Less-Strict Gun Laws

…the most dramatic rise in dissatisfaction comes from the contingency of Americans who feel gun laws are too strict, rather than from those who think they aren’t strict enough. This percentage jumped to 16 percent this year, a rate that more than triples the 5 percent recorded by Gallup last year. Meanwhile, the percentage of Americans favoring stricter gun laws fell seven points in 2014, from 38 to 31 percent.
Google Removes Privacy Feature From Android, Claims Release Was Accidental

Google told us that the feature had only ever been released by accident — that it was experimental, and that it could break some of the apps policed by it. We are suspicious of this explanation, and do not think that it in any way justifies removing the feature rather than improving it.
