Washington Fines Restaurant For Trying To Make A Living

The fine includes $9,639 for each day Spiffy’s continued to offer indoor dining after L&I employees told them to stop — a confrontation that spurred days of armed protests last week. The fine was issued Monday, in addition to an “order and notice of immediate restraint,†which in layman terms, tells a business that “you have to come under compliance right now,†according to L&I spokesperson Tim Church.

The owners of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group have brought together hundreds of restaurant owners from all over the state who are ready to fight Whitmer’s latest orders with everything they have.

Big Boy Removes Franchise From Owner Refusing Covid Restrictions

A Big Boy restaurant in Michigan’s Thumb region has lost its name after the owners refused to stop indoor dining as part of statewide restrictions to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Customers were greeted Friday with Sandusky Diner instead of Sandusky Big Boy, the name for 35 years. The company that grants franchises took action. Big Boy restaurants are known by their statue of a boy in checkered overalls holding a burger over his head.
NYC Bar Owner Arrested, Not Allowed To Do Business

An owner of a New York City bar that was providing indoor service in defiance of coronavirus restrictions was arrested after a sting in which plainclothes officers went inside and ordered food and beverages, the city sheriff’s office said.
Protesters shouted as deputies arrested Danny Presti, the co-owner of Mac’s Public House on Staten Island, on Tuesday.
Businesses In Lewis County Stand Up To Washington Gov Inslee

Mossyrock restaurants may continue offering indoor dining this week despite Gov. Jay Inslee’s new sweeping restrictions after the city passed an ordinance in November saying the city “will not recognize†Inslee’s proclamation until “sufficient COVID-19 information and data is presented to the City that establishes a state of emergency exists within the City.â€
Group Publishes List Of Anti-Gun Businesses
The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms has launched a public campaign alerting gun owners about businesses and their CEOs who push for increased gun control and prohibition, identifying the culprits.
The “Don’t Feed the Gun Prohibitionists†project has developed a dynamic list of businesses and CEOs who have been pushing for new legislation designed to impair the rights of law-abiding firearms owners. The list may be found at www.ccrkba.org/antigunbusinesses.
