Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 9/May/2016 07:00
From KCEN:
An improvised explosive device (IED) was found and disabled Tuesday night under a bridge near Rosebud.
According to Falls County Constable Richard Aleman, 2 juvenile boys were hunting for rabbits late Tuesday evening when they saw suspicious items under a bridge near Farm to Market 1963. 1 of the boys contacted his father, who is former military, and his father contacted the fire department.
Letter From Soldier Who Survived Fort Hood Shooting
From Washington Times:
“Stripped of my God-given Right to arm myself, the only defensive posture I had left was to lie prostrate on the ground, and wait to die,†writes 1st Lieutenant Patrick Cook of the 49th Transportation Battalion, who witnessed the massacre firsthand.

From National Review Online:
On December 7, 1941, the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor was attacked. Three years, eight months, and eight days later, the Japanese surrendered. These days, America’s military moves at a more leisurely pace. On November 5, 2009, another U.S. base, Fort Hood, was attacked — by one man standing on a table, screaming “Allahu akbar!†and opening fire. Three years, nine months, and one day later, his court-martial finally got under way.
The Absurd Trial of Major Hassan
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 13/Aug/2012 08:52
According to Time’s Battleland blog, Major Hassan is refusing to shave his beard as required by military protocol, causing his trial to be delayed. He didn’t have a problem shaving during his service and before he massacred his fellow soldiers.
His defense counsel told the judge the beard is an expression of his religious conviction and should be allowed as such, but Gross has overruled their arguments and ordered Hasan out of the courtroom until he complies with army regulations.
Hasan Trial Delayed
From Military Times:
Attorneys for Maj. Nidal Hasan argued during a hearing at the Army post in Texas that they still lacked key evidence needed to prepare for the March trial. Prosecutors insisted defense lawyers didn’t need more time, saying one defense expert was hired nearly two years ago and that he alone has already racked up about $250,000 in fees billed to the government.
Possible Fort Hood Attack Thwarted?
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 28/Jul/2011 22:17
From STRATFOR
An AWOL U.S. soldier was arrested the evening of July 27 on an outstanding child pornography warrant in Killeen, Texas, and is suspected to have been plotting an attack on Fort Hood. The suspect, Pfc. Nasser Jason Abdo from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, was reportedly arrested by the Killeen Police Department after an alert citizen noticed he was acting suspiciously and called police. Local TV station KCEN said explosives were found in his car, and FOX News is reporting two other U.S. military personnel have been arrested and that weapons and explosives were also found in their possession. According to STRATFOR sources in the U.S. law enforcement community, a reported plot by three U.S. military personnel to attack Fort Hood was in the advanced stages of planning.
Though there is no confirmation that an attack was in the works, the reports are reason for concern. STRATFOR has written about the possibility of grassroots plots, particularly in revenge for the killing of Osama bin Laden. The fear is that Abdo or the other two suspects were planning an attack similar to that of U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who carried out one of the few successful grassroots attacks in the United States due to his tactical choice of conducting an armed assault. Read the rest of this entry »
“Diversity starts with the truth,” speaking the truth about jihadist terrorists like Major Nidal Hasan
Posted by Jack Sinclair in Threat Watch on 5/Nov/2010 01:53
“One year ago on this day a Muslim U.S. Army officer known by co-workers for his militant Islamic views killed 13 people and wounded 30 others at Ford Hood in Texas.
Now an association of first-responder officers who say the nation and its political leaders have ignored the lessons of that attack is sponsoring an alternative to today’s official memorial service.
With the theme “Diversity starts with the truth,” the event will feature former jihad terrorists Walid Shoebat and Kamal Saleem; decorated war hero Gen. William Boykin; Jihad Watch director and author Robert Spencer; and Maj. Stephen Coughlin, a decorated intelligence officer and noted specialist on Islam.
“We dishonor our men and women in uniform, and put them at greater risk by not speaking the truth or facing the facts about jihadist terrorists like Major Nidal Hasan, whose hidden agenda killed 14 and wounded 35,” the ICTOA said in a statement.”
