State and Local Officials Won’t Enforce Gun Laws
From Fox News:
But in Oregon, Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller wrote a letter to Biden Monday saying his department will not enforce any new gun laws it considers unconstitutional.
Meanwhile, 1200 WOAI reports that in Texas, Republican state Rep. Steve Toth plans to introduce a bill that would make it illegal to enforce in the state any federal laws restricting semi-automatic firearms or the size of gun magazines.
Kentucky Sheriff explains his views here.
Emotional Liberals Pass Gun Legislation in New York
Posted by Brian in Law, News, Threat Watch on 15/Jan/2013 17:22
The state of New York doesn’t deserve to have the Statue of Liberty. They no longer know what the word liberty means. I have suggested to a few friends, that we need to find a liberty loving billionaire, and just take the statue from them.
From the Washington Times:
Current owners of a now-certified “high capacity ammunition feeding device†— over 7 rounds — will have one year to sell or give them away out of state or face a class A misdemeanor charge. Dealers will have to start recording every ammunition sale with the buyer’s name, age, occupation and residence.
Gun retailers will have to record for the state police every sale that involves a firearm. The seller will have to record the buyer’s name,  age,  occupation and home address, along with the calibre, make, model, manufacturer’s name and serial number.
We Are The First-Responders, We Are The Guardians
Posted by Gary in Law, News, Threat Watch on 15/Jan/2013 09:37
Two conclusions from the 9-11 Commission Report that always stand out in my mind are;
- From now on, the first-responders are going to be ordinary citizens.
- Many of the failures leading up to 9-11 were the result of a lack of imagination.
Below is an essay from a School Superintendent in rural Texas who has taken those lessons to heart. The result is something he calls the “Guardian Plan”.
From: David Thweatt, Special to CNN
Good parents protect their children. We protect them from the wind, sun, fire, cold, sickness, from animals, harmful philosophy, other children, predatory adults, injury when possible, their own faulty reasoning and anything else that we see as a dangerous risk to their health and well-being. They are the future, and they are precious.
At the Harrold Independent School District in Texas, we believe we’ve done everything possible to protect our children. We use cameras, electronic security and emergency plans, and some of our staff members are armed.

15 yr Old Shoots Burglar with AR-15

What is going to happen when these rifles are banned and these incidents continue to happen?
Mother Shoots Burglar in Georgia
According to USA Today’s website a Georgia woman shot an intruder after being told by her husband to do so if the intruder opened the door.
One New Zealander’s Opinion
His opinion on Feinstein’s proposed legislation:
Is Bank of America Anti-Gun?
From Unlawful News:
According to a Facebook post by the owner of American Spirit Firearms, Bank of America has decided to weigh in on the gun debate by freezing his account. Joe Sirochman, Owner of American Spirit Firearms, says Bank of America froze his account after people at the bank decided he shouldn’t be allowed to sell guns on the internet.
Pravda Tells Americans To Hold On To Guns
From Pravda:
These days, there are few things to admire about the socialist, bankrupt and culturally degenerating USA, but at least so far, one thing remains: the right to bear arms and use deadly force to defend one’s self and possessions.
This will probably come as a total shock to most of my Western readers, but at one point, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. This was, of course, when we were free under the Tsar. Weapons, from swords and spears to pistols, rifles and shotguns were everywhere, common items. People carried them concealed, they carried them holstered. Fighting knives were a prominent part of many traditional attires and those little tubes criss crossing on the costumes of Cossacks and various Caucasian peoples? Well those are bullet holders for rifles.
Uncle Ted to Joe Biden
Posted by Brian in Law, News, Threat Watch on 2/Jan/2013 15:24
Ted Nugent has written a letter to Joe Biden which appears on the Washington Times website.
I don’t encourage you to recommend a ban on any weapon, magazine capacity or type of ammunition. That won’t accomplish anything other than prevent the 99.9 percent of responsible, law-abiding Americans from enjoying these modern weapons as we do now. We should never recommend or develop public policy that restricts the rights of the good guys based upon what evil people do or might do. If that were the case, alcohol still would be banned. As you may know, drunk drivers kill an estimated 12,000 Americans each year and hurt tens of thousands more.

From Reuters:
