The Dangerous Downside To “Smart Guns”
From Ammoland:
But perhaps the most immediate and insidious threat we face from technology comes under the guise of “safety— for the children,” so-called “smart guns” under development and soon to be required in a state near you. Because…they’re also lobbying for another technology they developed to be required on cars— a “shutoff switch” that police can activate by remote control, making the rest of us pay for the infinitesimal fraction of drivers who lead them on car chases.
Study: Access To Guns Reduced Lynchings
From Reason:
In her 1892 pamphlet Southern Horrors: Lynch Law in All Its Phases, the journalist Ida B. Wells argued that firearms were an essential tool in preventing the deadly white supremacist violence that she chronicled. “Of the many inhuman outrages of this present year, the only case where the proposed lynching did not occur, was where the men armed themselves in Jacksonville, Fla., and Paducah, Ky, and prevented it,” she wrote. “The only times an Afro-American who was assaulted got away has been when he had a gun and used it in self-defense.”
Getting Started Hunting
From The Truth About Guns:
The first thing you need to understand about hunting is that it’s a relationship between the hunter, the game, and the land. The trifecta of these things can’t survive if one vanishes or becomes hostile. If the land is mismanaged, the game disappears along with the traditions carried out on it.
NY Jews Fight New Gun Laws
From Bearing Arms:
People that had carry permits in New York prior to NYSRPA v. Bruen had more rights then, than they do now. Because of these restrictions many are speaking out, and one group has announced they plan to act. A September 5th press release issued by the NYS Jewish Gun Club highlights the vulnerabilities that were just created by unelected Governor Hochul.
Women Buying More Guns
From Discourse Magazine:
The executive director of A Girl and A Gun (AGAG) Women’s Shooting League is noticing that women are showing up to shoot more than ever before. “Every week, basically, we’re approached by a new instructor or range that wants to have a women-focused training program in their area,” Sandoval told Discourse.
Gun Sales Continue Record Of 1 Million A Month For 37 Months
From The Washington Examiner:
President Joe Biden’s anti-gun crusade, echoed in major cities where liberal majors are blaming guns for the rise in young gangbanger killings, is having no impact on the uninterrupted three-year surge in firearm sales.
The FBI reported this week that sales have been over 1 million for 37 straight months, historic numbers.
The Case Against General Milley
From The Washington Times:
Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, should be subject to an Article 32 Hearing under the provisions of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for his conduct and statements as memorialized in the Bob Woodward book “Peril,” and the Aug. 8, 2022, New Yorker magazine excerpt of a forthcoming book by Susan B. Glasser and Peter Baker.
ATF Targets Objects Rather Than Criminals
From Bearing Arms:
One of our favorite three letter agencies is at it again. A recent report by attorney Dillon Harris of the Prince Law Offices noted that the ATF has been sending out new nasty grams to alleged customers that may have purchased Forced Reset Triggers and or so-called solvent traps. It’s not exactly known at this time how the ATF procured customer information, but the agency that’s so fond of murdering dogs and sending out malicious Valentine’s Day greetings seems to have the firm Harris is a member of without the lack of clients.
NY Thinks “Gun Free Zone” Signs Will Make Times Square Gun Free
From The Truth About Guns:
Robert Barrows, the NYPD’s executive director of legal operations, held up one of the signs — which screamed “GUN FREE ZONE” — at a City Council hearing on Tuesday focused on securing sensitive spaces after the Supreme Court gutted the state’s concealed carry handgun law.
ATF Plans To Create Millions Of Felons With Pistol Brace Ruling
From Ammoland:
AmmoLand News has uncovered information showing that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is planning to force gun owners to register firearms with pistol braces as a National Firearms Act (NFA) ATF Form 1 item.
The document (embedded below) was uncovered in a budget justification from the ATF to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). This form confirms the leaked information AmmoLand News has heard for months from our inside sources at the ATF.
UPS Implements Severe Restrictions On Shipping Firearms
The new rules came in response to a letter sent by five anti-gun senators, who blamed UPS and 27 other carriers for escalating violent crime rates.
The rules are contained in three documents: A shipping agreement between UPS and a licensed firearm dealer, the new 2022 UPS Tariff/Terms & Conditions of Service, and UPS’s How to Ship Firearms” webpage.
