China Counterfeit Parts in U.S. Military Aircraft

Dozens of suspected counterfeit parts have been installed on U.S. defense equipment from Raytheon Co. (RTN), L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. (LLL) and Boeing Co. (BA), including aircraft deployed to Afghanistan.
All White House communications on government gun-smuggling scandal at ATF have been subpoenaed.

“In just a few short weeks, Barack Obama’s hand-picked, anti-gun Attorney General, Eric Holder, will be forced to testify before Congress about the ATF’s scandal, “Fast & Furious.”
But this time, there is more evidence.
A number of Eric Holder’s deputies may testify what you and I knew all along — that Eric Holder was well aware of the scandal. Others are also coming forward.
“This was an effort by Barack Obama, Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano to make an aggressive assault against our 2nd Amendment rights. I’m calling for Eric Holder’s resignation and prosecution,” an Arizona Sheriff recently stated.
Ten Arizona Sheriffs have joined the battle to hold Eric Holder accountable for his actions, which have endangered innocent lives all along the border.”
Texas Attorney General warns Obama: Mexican cartels ‘spilling over’ border

“Texas Atty. Gen. Greg Abbott sent a letter to President Obama on Wednesday warning that Mexican cartel violence is increasingly “spilling over” the border and calling for more security.
Abbott cited a “deadly shootout” involving “cartel operatives” last weekend in the town of Elsa, about 250 miles south of San Antonio, in which a Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputy was shot three times. Sheriff’s officials have said the deputy was wearing a protective vest and is expected to recover.
Islamist Jihad ready for all-out war with Israel

“The Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad, which traded deadly fire with Israel at the weekend in Gaza, does not expect a subsequent truce to last long and has at least 8,000 fighters ready for war, a spokesman said.
Islamic Jihad is the second largest armed group in Gaza, after Hamas, which rules the tiny Mediterranean enclave. The two share a commitment to the destruction of Israel and both are classified as terrorist groups by most Western governments.
However, while Hamas has recently spent much of its energy on the business of government, Islamic Jihad has kept its focus firmly on the conflict, gaining in prominence and enjoying significant backing from Muslim supporters, including Iran.”

Rukhsana Kauser may not look like much, but she is awesome.
Why? Let me tell you what Rukhsana Kauser did when a very bad man, Abu Osama, broke into her home and attacked her family.
When this bad guy burst into her home he was confronted by her father. Abu Osama attacked the father, beating him terribly.
18 year-old Rukhsana Kauser and her 19 year-old brother were hiding under the bed in her room, watching the severe beating of their parents at the hands of this terrorist, Abu Osama. Only, instead of getting terrorized, she got extremely angry.

Rukhsana and her brother grabbed a couple of hatchets, crawled out from under the bed, and charged forward.
Ruksana grabbed Abu Osama by his head, and slammed the back of his skull against the wall. Then, as he was backed up against the wall, she smashed him with the hatchet.
As he started to slump down, Rukhsana reached down, grabbed his AK-47, and cracked him in the face with the stock, then flipped it around, and pumped twelve rounds into his head and torso at point-blank range, killing him instantly.
The other five bad guys found themselves facing a raging teenage girl with an AK. In the few seconds that followed, Rukhsana wounded two more terrorists, and sent the rest running for cover.
The terrorists tried to return fire, but Rukhsana and her brother (who had picked up a rifle that one of the militants dropped) exchanged gunfire until the bad guys ran off.
Rukhsana Kauser stood up, defended her family from some of the most notorious criminals in Northern India. She and her brother had fought off six terrorist by themselves, killing one and wounding a couple more. Abu Osama, one of the most dangerous criminals in the world, was lying dead at her feet.
She not only saved every member of her family, including herself, from certain death, she also managed to rid the universe of a very bad man.
That, my friends, is awesome.

She has been relocated to a witness protection program, nominated for the highest award for civilian bravery offered by the Indian government, and awarded the $6,000 bounty that had been placed on the head of the fallen terrorist leader.

In a week when the European crisis continued building, the White House chose publicly to focus on announcements about the end of wars. The death of Moammar Gadhafi was said to mark the end of the war in Libya, and excitement about a new democratic Libya abounded. Regarding Iraq, the White House transformed the refusal of the Iraqi government to permit U.S. troops to remain into a decision by Washington instead of an Iraqi rebuff.
Though in both cases there was an identical sense of “mission accomplished,†the matter was not nearly as clear-cut. The withdrawal from Iraq creates enormous strategic complexities rather than closure. New Malware Brings Cyberwar One Step Closer

A newly discovered piece of malicious code dubbed Duqu is closely related to the notorious Stuxnet worm that damaged Iran’s nuclear-enrichment centrifuges last year. Although it has no known target or author, it sets the stage for more industrial and cyberwar attacks, experts say.
“This is definitely a troubling development on a number of levels,” says Ronald Deibert, director of Citizen Lab, an Internet think-tank at the University of Toronto who leads research on cyberwarfare, censorship, and espionage. “In the context of the militarization of cyberspace, policymakers around the world should be concerned.”
Indeed, the spread of such code could be destabilizing. The Pentagon’s cyberwar strategy, for example, makes clear that computer attacks on industrial and civilian infrastructure like chemical factories or power grids as well as military networks could be regarded as equivalent to a conventional bombing or other attack, if civilians were endangered.

On Oct. 11, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that two men had been charged in New York with taking part in a plot directed by the Iranian Quds Force to kill Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States, Adel al-Jubeir, on U.S. soil.
Manssor Arbabsiar and Gholam Shakuri face numerous charges, including conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction (explosives), conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism transcending national borders and conspiracy to murder a foreign official. Arbabsiar, who was arrested Sept. 29 at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, is a U.S. citizen with both Iranian and U.S. passports. Shakuri, who remains at large, allegedly is a senior officer in Iran’s Quds Force, a special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) believed to promote military and terrorist activities abroad.
Between May and July, Arbabsiar, who lives in the United States, allegedly traveled several times to Mexico, where he met with a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) confidential informant who was posing as an associate of the Mexican Los Zetas cartel. The criminal complaint charges that Arbabsiar attempted to hire the DEA source and his purported accomplices to kill the ambassador. Arbabsiar’s Iranian contacts allegedly wired two separate payments totaling $100,000 in August into an FBI-controlled bank account in the United States, with Shakuri’s approval, as a down payment to the DEA source for the killing (the agreed-upon total price was $1.5 million).
Much has been written about the Arbabsiar case, both by those who believe the U.S. government’s case is valid and by those who doubt the facts laid out in the criminal complaint. However, as we have watched this case unfold, along with the media coverage surrounding it, it has occurred to us that there are two aspects of the case that we think merit more discussion. The first is that, as history has shown, it is not unusual for Iran to employ unconventional assassins in plots inside the United States. Second, while the DEA informant was reportedly posing as a member of Los Zetas, we do not believe the case proves any sort of increase in the terrorist threat emanating from the United States’ southern border. US forces ‘massing on Afghanistan-Pakistan border’

US forces are massing on the Pakistan border in eastern Afghanistan amid reports of an imminent drone missile offensive against fighters from the feared Haqqani Network, a Taliban faction which operates from safe havens in Pakistan’s North Waziristan Agency, Pakistan Army sources have confirmed.
US forces ‘massing on Afghanistan-Pakistan border’The scale of the American build-up, including helicopter gunships, heavy artillery and hundreds of American and Afghan troops, caused panic in north Waziristan where tribal militias who feared they could be targeted gathered in the capital Miranshah to coordinate their response.

This is a disturbing video, hard to watch, but it illustrates an important principle.
“It shows a mentally disabled woman being mocked, spit on, then punched in the face at a Sacramento strip mall on Mack Road.
Regular customers and neighbors weren’t surprised by the video. They say this type of disrespect, and abuse, goes on all the time.
But it’s difficult to watch. A woman who appears mentally impaired is punched in the face. It all started while she stood in front of a doughnut shop where she is taunted by a group of guys who sound as if they’re spitting on her.
Then she’s shoved in the face and laughed at.
After that she snaps and chases her attackers, asking why they’re hurting her.
“Why you slapping me, huh?†she can be heard asking.
After that a man punches her in the face, knocking her to the ground, where she can be heard moaning.â€

If you watch the news video, you’ll see one woman, after being shown footage of the punks attacking the woman, say,
“Wish I would have been there. It wouldn’t have gone down just quite like that.”
“What would you have done?”
“I’d have stepped in.”
That is the nature of a sheep dog – to step in when something unacceptable is happening in front of them.
It is the nature of a predator to go after the weak. If good people do not stay strong and intervene, bad people will attack anyone who is vulnerable.
You don’t reason with a predator, you don’t have a discussion with them about the error of their ways. You step in and stop them. This takes force and strength, not noble intentions and lofty views on the inherent goodness of humanity.
If good people do not equip themselves with what they need to counter the attacks of bad people, then those we care about and our weak, vulnerable neighbors will be at the mercy of predators.
And predators have no mercy.
Regarding the woman in the video:
“When the police got there, they spoke to her,†Sgt. Andrew Pettit of the Sacramento Police Department said. “She refused medical attention and she refused prosecution.â€
Police are now actively searching for these men, and they’ll use their IT specialists to track down the source of that video.â€

10 More Dead Found in Mexican Port of Veracruz

“Mexican officials say 10 more bodies have been found in what appears to be more bloodshed in the battle between rival cartels for control of drug trafficking in the port city of Veracruz.
The discoveries raise the number of deaths since Sept. 20 to at least 75 as the relatively new Jalisco New Generation gang claims to be attacking members of the Zetas cartel.”
