Pictures of Newest Carrier USS Gerald R. Ford

It is still incomplete but when finished will be the first in a new class of carrier.

From MilitaryTimes.com:

Officially under construction since November 2009, the work to build the 1,092-fo0t-long ship has actually been going on for more than a decade.  Hiding under scaffolding, covered in anti-rust primer, the Ford has just received a new coat of paint, part of the preparations for her public debut on Nov. 9, when ship’s sponsor Susan Ford Bales, daughter of the 38th U.S. president, will formally christen the ship.

Obama Bans First Navy Jack From Navy Uniforms

From The Daily Caller:

The email, dated October 22, reads:

ALL:

WARCOM and GROUP TWO/ONE have pushed out the uniform policy for NWU III and any patches worn on the sleeve.

All personnel are only authorized to wear the matching “AOR” American Flag patch on the right shoulder.  You are no longer authorized to wear the “Don’t Tread On Me” patch.

Again the only patch authorized for wear is the American flag on the right shoulder. Please pass the word to all

Thanks

I think it is obvious that because the First Navy Jack has the phrase “Don’t Tread On Me” which is used by those politically opposed to the administration, the administration has decided to ban the First Navy Jack from uniforms. Never mind the fact that as of Sept. 11, 2002 all Navy ships are to fly the First Navy Jack. Where is the directive to reverse that decision? And what about soldiers, seamen or marines who have the phrase tattooed on their body?

Is Obama Getting Rid of Generals?

From WorldNetDaily:

“Over the past three years, it is unprecedented for the number of four-star generals to be relieved of duty, and not necessarily relieved for cause,” Boykin said.

“I believe there is a purging of the military,” he said. “The problem is worse than we have ever seen.”

…Boykin said the future of the military is becoming more and more of concern, since colonels who would be generals also are being relieved of duty, if they show that they’re not going to support Obama’s agenda, which critics have described as socialist.

Traffic Stop Turns Into Shootout

From oregonlive.com:

http://youtu.be/q1gYEG1TzBk

This is dramatic proof of why it is so important to train to stay in the fight until the threat is neutralized. This shooter was mortally wounded yet continued to manipulate his weapon, move to cover, retreat to his vehicle while covering his movement, then drive the vehicle half a mile before succumbing to his wounds. Fortunately the officer recovered from his injuries.

National Guard Member in Miss America Pageant

From The Washington Times:

During Sunday’s Miss America pageant, televised September 15 at 9 p.m. on CBS, Vail will be the first contestant not to cover her tattoos during the bathing suit and evening gown portion of the competition.

Vail’s body art is not subtle. The serenity prayer is tattooed on her right side, and covers the area from just under her arm all the way down to her hip in large old English style writing. Vail has another tattoo of the army medical corp. insignia on her shoulder. Both will be visible.
