Obama Administration released Bin Laden’s arms dealer on April 4 and sent him to Senegal in West Africa.

On Aug. 20, 2015, the Periodic Review Board consisting of representatives from the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, and State; the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence determined continued law of war detention of Umar does not remain necessary to protect against a continuing significant threat to the security of the United States. As a result of that review, which examined a number of factors, including security issues, Umar was recommended for transfer by consensus of the six departments and agencies comprising the Periodic Review Board. The Periodic Review Board process was established by the president’s March 7, 2011 Executive Order 13567.

Thanks to a lawsuit by EFF, the government has released its official policy for determining when to disclose security vulnerabilities, the Vulnerabilities Equities Process (VEP).
First Manned Test Of New Carrier Arresting Gear

The landing of the Super Hornet marks the start of manned aircraft tests for the system that was also installed in parallel on Gerald R. Ford (CVN-76) — currently finishing construction.
The facility in New Jersey had arrested simulated dead loads and jet cars ahead of the first manned arrested landing with the Super Hornet from Naval Strike Aircraft Test Squadron 23 (VX-23) on March 31, according to a General Atomics statement.
“More than 1,200 successful dead load arrestments have been completed at the Jet Car Test Site in Lakehurst, New Jersey,†stated Dean Key with General Atomics said in the statement.
“Now, with the arrestment of aircraft, we take an important step in verifying the dynamic controls and system performance as a whole.â€
Mississippi Gov. To Sign Constitutional Carry Law

The legislation, House Bill 786, expands current carry provisions from carrying in a bag, purse, or satchel without a permit to carrying holstered without a permit, as well. TheNRA-ILA reports that Michael Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety vehemently and unsuccessfully opposed the bill, which passed the House by a vote of 85-35.
Governor Phil Bryant (R) is expected to sign the bill into law.
Adm. McRaven Doesn’t Want Students Carrying Guns

Number of Younger Shooters Growing Rapidly

Summary
In the wake of any shocking event, national governments and officials of the European Union invariably call for more cooperation between member states to prevent anything similar happening in the future. The response to the March 22 terrorist attacks in Brussels has been no different.
Following the attacks, the governments of Germany, Italy, France and members of the European Commission demanded a global response to the terrorist threat. The commission’s president, Jean-Claude Juncker, even proposed the creation of a “security union” to combat terrorism at the continental level. In a March 24 meeting, ministers at the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council highlighted the need to share information among member states to fight terrorism. But despite the calls for greater cooperation among EU members, the national interests of individual member states will prevail in the long run, limiting the possibility of integration within the bloc on security issues. California Bill Could Treat Gun Owners Like Murderers
From Ammoland:
The bill, authored by Senator Ben Allen (D-Redondo Beach) will make non-violent firearms related crimes “continuing offenses.†These offenses involve unlawful self-importation or transfers of firearms. These crimes need not have any criminal intent, nor is there a victim involved. These victimless crimes are the act of import or transfer, not possession.
SB 1037 would make this prosecutable for life- the same as capital murder- all for forgetting to fill out a form and mail it to the California Department of Justice with $19.00.

Wife Thwarts Attack of Husband

A St. Paul, Minnesota man was brutally assaulted by a gang of 15 to 30 young men who were gambling in his driveway as he returned from work.
32-year-old Bruce Chang says when he tried to clear the group to gain access to his driveway, they began to assault him, even throwing rocks and jabbing sticks at his face and torso.
Fortunately for him, his wife also has a permit. She was able to run outside and draw her gun – scaring off the gang and ending her husband’s violent attack.
