California Law Requires Impossible Technology Effectively Banning Guns
From Reason:
A California statute requires that all new models of semi-automatic handguns stamp the handgun’s serial number in two locations on each round of ammunition. It is possible for a handgun’s firing pin to stamp the serial number onto the cartridge’s primer, which is a disk in the center of the back side of the ammunition. It not possible to stamp a serial number in two locations, as an erudite amicus brief from the Cato Institute explains. Nevertheless, California Attorney General Kamala Harris in May 2013 declared that all conditions for implementation by the statute had been met. Accordingly, all pistol models created since May 2013 are prohibited from commercial sale in California.

Oklahoma To Be Next Constitutional Carry State?
From Gun Owners of America:
That whirlwind — Constitutional Carry — would make Oklahoma the 16th state in the country to recognize the right to protect yourself and your family without first getting the government’s permission. This would mean that nearly a third of the fifty states would be “Constitutional Carry†states.

Ammo Tax Is Gun Control Loophole
From The Federalist:
This proposed law will not keep criminals from obtaining ammunition. What it will do is penalize gun owners who engage in sport shooting, or who practice with their firearms. But shooting, whether in simple target practice or as part of more intensive training, is an important part of being a responsible gun owner. Taxing ammunition will only make gun owners poorer and less prepared, without preventing a single crime
The Gun Protected Blacks When Laws Wouldn’t
From The Federalist:
By the first post–Civil War election in 1868, some southern blacks had begun to arm themselves. In one incident in Tennessee, by brandishing his gun a black man fought off a mob of terrorizing Klansmen who dragged him from his house. “I prevented [one of them] by my pistol, which I cocked, and he jumped back,†the man explained. “I told them I would hurt them if they got away. Georgia Bill Would Allow Armed Uber/Lyft Drivers
From Bearing Arms:
It’s an issue that shouldn’t be an issue, truth be told. No company should bar their employees from carrying a firearm if it’s legal for them to do so, yet plenty of them do.
Ridesharing, however, is particularly egregious because you’re using your property for work purposes.
