China’s Tyranny a Result of Gun Control
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 17/Sep/2013 08:50
A former Chinese national discusses the issue in National Review Online:
Citizens were not allowed to have any guns or they would be put into prison, or worse. Chinese people were helpless when they needed to defend themselves. I grew up with fear, like millions of other children — fear that the police would pound on our doors at night and take my loved ones away, fear that bad guys would come to rob us. Sometimes I could not sleep from hearing the screaming people outside.
When it came to dealing with the Chinese government and police brutality, there was nothing we could do. They had guns, while law-abiding citizens did not.

From BearingArms.com:
“You put more guns on the street expect more shootings,†McCarthy said. “I don’t care if they’re licensed legal firearms, people who are not highly trained… putting guns in their hands is a recipe for disaster. So I’ll train our officers that there is a concealed carry law, but when somebody turns with a firearm in their hand the officer does not have an obligation to wait to get shot to return fire and we’re going to have tragedies as a result of that. I’m telling you right up front.â€
Hypocrisy in the Constitution State
In the wake of the Newtown shooting Connecticut passed a bunch of new restrictions on firearms. New information now shows that the people of Newtown, and Connecticut, have flocked to the gun stores and are on pace to double total gun purchases from last year.
From The Daily Caller:
“So far this year, through July 24, more than 91,000 guns were authorized for sale statewide. At that pace, the state will surpass last year’s total by October,†the report continues.
An Armed Citizenry Is Peace

From Daily Reckoning:
The entire criminal justice system depends on legal violence, and gun control is no exception. Somehow, many modern liberals who recognize the problems of using police power against drug users or illegal immigrants, or who show concern that law enforcement employs overbearing force against petty criminals, ignore the reality that gun control fundamentally entails physical coercion against mostly peaceful people.

Son Makes Threats, Dad Has Pistol License Revoked

From HauppaugePatch:
According to Mayer, his son spoke with a few of his classmates about a pushing incident on the schoolyard, and although Mayer’s son was not involved in the scuffle, he and two of the other boys talked about bringing a water, paintball and BB gun with them to the house of the classmates that did the pushing. While Mayer’s lawyer said that none of the boys actually have any of the toy guns mentioned, word about the perceived threats got around to the principal, who not only suspended Mayer’s son for two days, but also filed a police report.

Austin Texas Councilman Admits the Endgame is a Gun Ban
Posted by Gary in Law, Threat Watch on 10/Apr/2013 21:06

Mike Martinez
Austin Texas Councilman Mike Martinez, who appeared at a gun control rally in that city on April 7, admitted that the Universal Background Check endgame is a ban on guns.
“First of all, to the gentleman who is dying for attention, someone needs to inform him that there is no gun ban currently, but because of the work we’re doing here today, we will make your sign legitimate shortly, so you hang on to that.” The crowd cheered in response.

Sen. Toomey (R) Wants Expanded Background Checks On Guns
From BigGovernment.com:
Sens. Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) have introduced an amendment to expand background checks for gun purchases. It makes it more difficult for millions of private gun owners to sell their firearms, such as at gun shows.
He also wants every person who buys a gun from a gunshow to go through a background check. How would they be able to implement that without registration?
A Mother’s Change Of Heart On Guns
From CNN:
Slowly over the years, I became more and more fearful of being home alone on the nights he worked, especially after I had children. We were living in Maryland on a farm in the middle of nowhere. One night, I got a call from my husband telling me to lock all doors and windows as he had just spoken with a sheriff down the road who was looking for an escaped convict.
I was terrified.
