Walmart Video Recording Gun Sales

The “Responsible Firearm Sales” page says: “Additionally, we require that customers pass a background check, despite federal law allowing firearms to be sold after a three-day waiting period even if approval isn’t received. We also videotape the point of sale for firearms and only allow certain trained associate to sell firearms.”
Walmart Stops Selling Most Popular Guns

The move came in an open letter to company employees by Doug McMillon, president and chief executive officer of Walmart, which operates more than 5,000 store locations nationwide. Out, after selling through current stocks, is handgun ammunition and “short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber that, while commonly used in some hunting rifles, can also be used in large capacity clips on military-style weapons.â€
Couple Thinks Walmart Is Responsible For Their Security

A Texas couple who were injured in a mass shooting at a Walmart store in El Paso last month recently filed a lawsuit against the corporation alleging it did not have adequate security in place to prevent the attack that killed 22 people.
Walmart Employees Walkout Over Guns

Roughly 40 employees walked out of a Walmart e-commerce office in California on Wednesday to protest the retail giant’s gun sale policy after a deadly mass shooting at one of its stores in El Paso, Texas.
According to The Washington Post, the employees left their offices for about 15 minutes and gathered outside the building, where they took a moment of silence.
Other company locations in New York City and Portland, Ore., also reportedly saw employees take similar actions on Wednesday to call on the company to change its policies.
Notice no employees who work at a physical store walked out. Only people who work behind a computer and on the coasts.

The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries this week found that the teen, Hannah Brumbles, was the victim of age discrimination in violation of state accommodations lawafter Walmart refused to sell her a gun over an internal policy. In late February, Walmart said it won’t sell firearms and ammunition to anyone under age 21, citing the Parkland shooting for its nationwide policy reversal.
