Off Duty Gamers
OffDutyGamers.com is a gaming site specifically targeted at military veterans. Here is how they think of themselves in their own words:
This site is for all the active duty military and prior service veterans who enjoy video games and the associated hardware but are easily annoyed with throngs of civilian ‘experts’ who seem to know more about the ‘military’ portion of today’s games than an experienced member of the military. This site is about delivering all the same news, reviews and sense of community coupled with our collective bond of service and unique point of view. This site is primarily for veterans, by veterans and aims to support our community.
The site reviews military games and is a meetup for military personnel who want to play online with other services members.

MEDEVAC/CASEVAC Problems in Afghanistan
From Micheal Yon:
The highest ranking officers in the US Army continue to deceive Senators and Representatives about the ongoing MEDEVAC failures in Afghanistan. There are telltale signs that reveal deceptive Generals. If a General says or implies that Dustoff must wear Red Crosses due to Geneva Conventions, he is lying. Full stop.
Liquid Body Armor
Posted by Brian in Body Armor, News, Warriors on 13/Apr/2012 13:31
From Guns.com:
The next generation of body armor might be liquid. Both BAE Systems and the Army Research Laboratories along with the University of Delaware are working on turning shear-thickening fluids (STF) into body armor. The concept of using the non-Newtonian fluids as a means to enhance armor while staying flexible at other times is not new but actually putting it into action is a separate and more difficult problem.

Right now the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is offering refurbished Springfield Armory M1 Garands chambered in both .30-06 Springfield and .308 Winchester. Â And because the CMP is a government-chartered program, they’re going for extremely reasonable rates.
