Vox Concerned About Gun Rights Winning

From Vox:

The Supreme Court could hand down a decision any day now in National Association for Gun Rights v. City of Naperville, a case that could legalize assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in all 50 states.

The case challenges a Naperville, Illinois, ordinance and a similar Illinois state law, both of which ban assault weapons, which the state law defines to include certain semiautomatic rifles such as AR-15s and AK-47s. Additionally, the state law prohibits the sale of a “large capacity ammunition feeding device,” which the statute defines as long gun magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, or handgun magazines that hold more than 15 bullets.

Gun Ban Introduced Again

From Guns.com:

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the 89-year-old California Democrat on her sixth controversial term in office, introduced the proposed new federal Assault Weapon Ban this week. The 126-page measure would ban the sale, transfer, manufacture, and importation of “military-style assault weapons” and “high-capacity magazines and other high-capacity ammunition feeding devices.”

Senator Lankford Introduces Pistol Brace Protection Act

From Bearing Arms:

Senator James Lankford (R-OK) is standing up for Oklahomans’ Second Amendment right to own and use pistol braces without burdensome regulation, registration, and taxation. Last week, Lankford introduced the Pistol Brace Protection Act. Lankford’s bill would gut an upcoming final rule by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) by exempting pistol braces from regulation under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The bill eliminates subjective standards that exist in federal law that have allowed ATF to reclassify firearms under the NFA, and guarantees that law-abiding gun owners will not have to register, destroy, or surrender their pistol brace.

Print A Forced Reset Trigger

From Ammoland:

Almost all prints can be accomplished with these inexpensive machines. Most of those in the 3D-printed gun world use PLA+ filament for printing medium. The material can be as cheap as $20 for a 1kg spool. One spool can allow the user to print a massive number of items, including Hoffman Tactical’s forced reset trigger. The 3D-printed parts of the forced reset trigger only cost a few pennies to print, although a spring and roll pin is needed to complete the trigger.

New York Times Admits “assault weapon” Was A Persuasion Tactic

From Bearing Arms:

In a stunning op-ed released Friday, the NY Times finally admitted that “assault weapons” are a made-up political term fabricated by anti-gun Democrats.

Op-ed writer Lois Beckett also admitted that once the term was manufactured and used to outlaw a class of weapons that dishonest anti-gun Democrats had used to con an entire nation, nothing happened.

Forbes Freaks Out Over New Ghost Gunner, Shills For State Power

From Forbes:

Dubbed the Zero Percenter, because it can turn a completely untouched piece of aluminum into a firearm, the software and a few accompanying components are Wilson’s answer to what he considers government overreach. He seems to care little about the “open source” terrorism and crime it might unleash. So-called privately made firearms or ghost guns, the type Wilson has long championed, have confounded law enforcement officials for years. According to the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, from 2016 through 2020, some 23,906 suspected ghost guns were recovered from crime scenes, including 325 homicides or attempted homicides.

“There’s always going to be this mystical platonic line where a component becomes more like a gun than not a gun, and to regulate those intermediary steps of manufacture in any serious level completely disrupts modern American manufacturing, the American system,”  says Wilson, dressed in black and brandishing a 24-carat gold ring, embossed with the initials DD. “They are literally trying to control the world. But as the Zero Percenter demonstrates, blocks of metal are also guns.”

CMMG Announces ARs in 4.6×30

From Guns.com:

Missouri-based CMMG on Tuesday announced the first firearm made for the American consumer market chambered in 4.6×30 – the FourSix.

Designed originally by Heckler & Koch in the 1990s for a low-recoiling NATO Personal Defense Weapon program – competing against FN’s 5.7×28 for the same purpose – the 4.6x30mm is a rimless bottlenecked cartridge that performs well under 150 yards with a small size that allows guns chambered for it to carry a lot of rounds.

An Armed Populace Prevents Tyranny

From The Federalist:

Contrary to Biden’s claim that Americans would not be able to protect their liberty without F-15s and nuclear weapons, it is still true today, as Alexander Hamilton wrote in “The Federalist Papers,” No. 29, that the Army “can never be formidable to the liberties of the people, while there is a large body of citizens little if at all inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their own rights and those of their fellow citizens.”
