Army OKs Magpul M3 Magazine
From Kit Up:
U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command recently released a message authorizing units to purchase the Magpul Gen M3 PMAG, but maintains that the service’s Enhanced Performance Magazine is still the primary magazine for M4 carbines and M16 rifles.
Magpul To Be Out Of Colorado In Early 2015
From The Washington Times:
The firearms-accessories manufacturer announced that the company has finalized a contract on its headquarters in Austin, Texas, after entering into a deal on the property in March. In the interim, Magpul had used a temporary facility in Texas, according to a Wednesday press release.
Meanwhile, Magpul’s manufacturing and distribution center is slated to open in January in Cheyenne. A 50,000-square-foot addition is expected to be completed in December on the 185,000-square-foot facility.
Magpul Black Book Series
Magpul has released its first two products in the new Black Book Series: Precision Rifle Data Book 2.0 and Precision Rifle Quick Reference Cards.
AK PMAG Review
From Guns.com:
During my 1,000-round test, the AKM PMAG jammed once, when an old round’s bullet dislodged from the shell casing, spilling powder inside the magazine body. I consider this to be a 100 percent success rate, since it was the fault of the round, not the magazine.
Farewell To Arms Rally in Colorado Draws Thousands
From Denver Post:
Organizers say some 5,000 people attended the “Farewell to Arms Freedom” festival, which was hosted by Free Colorado, a nonprofit group that advocates for firearms rights.
Magpul To Give Away Magazines At CO Rally
From Magpul’s Facebook page:
Come on out and join the festivities at Infinity Park in Glendale, CO, this Saturday, June 29, celebrating FREEDOM on the last weekend before the unconstitutional mag ban takes effect…
MagPul and Colorado
From KitUp:
…gun control issues aside (though by no means to marginalize them) this will be of significance to Kit Up! readers because it centers around MagPul Industries Corporation, manufacturer of the PMag. MagPul is based in Erie, Colorado, and will obviously be impacted severely if the 13-1224 becomes law (this despite transparently self-serving last minute attempts on the part of supporting legislators to provide an exemption for manufacture). The significance of this lies on several levels, from that of the national debate on gun control to the impact on an individual’s ability to purchase the kit he or she wants at a time when magazines are already in short supply (and potentially those already owned).
Magpul Threatens To Leave Colorado If New Gun Laws Pass
Magpul has stated that should new Colorado gun laws pass, Magpul will leave the state taking all their tax money and business with them. Here is part of the letter:
In short, Magpul would be unable to remain in business as a CO company, and the over 200 jobs for direct employees and nearly 700 jobs at our subcontractors and suppliers would pick up and leave CO. Due to the structure of our operations, this would be entirely possible, hopefully without significant disruption to production.
The legislators drafting these measures do so in spite of the fact that nothing they are proposing will do anything to even marginally improve public safety in CO, and in fact, will leave law-abiding CO residents less able to defend themselves, strip away rights and property from residents who have done nothing wrong, and send nearly 1000 jobs and millions in tax revenue out of the state.
We like CO, we want to continue to operate in CO, but most of all, we want CO to remain FREE.
PMAGs OKed For Army
From Military.com:
The Pentagon has clarified the Army’s stance on a recent safety message that effectively banned a certain high-performance, commercial M4 magazine, which means soldiers can keep using their PMAGs.

Mission Spec IAS Irene Adaptive Sling vs Magpul MS2
Posted by Jack Sinclair in News on 18/Aug/2010 17:16
One-Point to Two-Point Conversion — The IAS main function is it’s ability to convert from a one-point to two-point sling with extreme ease and speed. While in one-point mode the sling can be converted to two-point mode by simply attaching the front hook to the front sling point on a Weapon System. At this point the weapon system can be rotated onto the Operators back.
