After the hearing yesterday Senator Feinstein wants to have her own hearing.

“I’m concerned and registered my concern with Sen. [Patrick] Leahy yesterday, that the witnesses are skewed to the anti-gun, anti-assault weapons position,†Feinstein told POLITICO. “He agreed that I would be able to do my own hearing on the assault weapons legislation which I will proceed to do.â€
China Threatens War With Japan

A Friday press release out of China confirms the incident began when Beijing was flying a Shaanxi Y-8 on a “routine Thursday patrol” over the “oil and gas fields in the East China Sea.”
…on Thursday Japan spotted aircraft in its Air Defense Identification Zone (above the islands) that it believed to be Chinese J-7 interceptors, along with some J-10 fighters whose combat abilities rival that of Western jets. Japan responded with two F-15s scrambled from Naha, Okinawa — just a couple hundred miles away. There are minor variations from either side about who sent what first, but all agree the aircraft met above the islands.

David Colemen Headley Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison for Role in India and Denmark Terror Plots

David Coleman Headley, a U.S. citizen partly of Pakistani descent, was sentenced today to 35 years in prison for a dozen federal terrorism crimes relating to his role in planning the November 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, and a subsequent proposed attack on a newspaper in Denmark. Headley pleaded guilty in March 2010 to all 12 counts that were brought against him following his arrest in October 2009 as he was about to leave the country. Immediately after his arrest, Headley began cooperating with authorities.

Below is the second inaugural speech of Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, in its entirety. It wasn’t until I could look at the speech as text that I began to truly understand it’s meaning and chilling implications for our future. Read it yourself. Strip out all the patriotic platitudes and the halfhearted homage to the founders and look at what you have left. The actual substance of the speech sounds like it comes from the second decade of the 20th century when this county was still run by robber barons, children went to sleep hungry, and the KKK terrorized the south. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this the country where even the “poor” are over weight and have microwaves and cell phones. What exactly does this president intend to save us from, prosperity? Read it, if you don’t see what I see then good for you. Sleep tight in your beds tonight and know that ignorance is truly bliss.

All Colorado Sheriffs Opppse New Gun Restrictions

The CSOC position paper said it would be wrong to enact major gun-control legislation while the country is still grieving over the recent tragedies. The paper’s conclusion reads: “CSOC welcomes open, honest and deliberative dialogue on all public safety issues. At the same time, we urge our state elected officials not to make decisions during this grieving period because it would likely lead to policies that are unenforceable and possibly unconstitutional, while punishing law abiding citizens and doing nothing to reduce violent crime.â€
