Those are the words of Colorado Senator Ted Harvey to the victim of a rape. She was arguing in defense of concealed carry on campus.
I didn’t know our rights could be stripped because someone at some point may feel uncomfortable. Never mind the fact that the person wouldn’t know who is carrying and who isn’t.

Wilson Combat will no longer provide any products or services to any State Government imposing legislation that infringes on the second amendment rights of its law abiding citizens. This includes any Law Enforcement Department, Law Enforcement Officers, or any State Government Entity or Employee of such an entity. This also applies to any local municipality imposing such infringements.

New Jersey -Â -(Ammoland.com)- The newly emerged Firearms Equality Movement is gaining more steam among manufactures and gun rights supporters alike.
The firearms industry, in reaction to the Governor of New York ramming through the NY SAFE Act which banned AR15 style rifles, has seen multiple manufactures revise their firearms sales polices to restrict LEO and Police Agencies from only buying the same level of firepower as is allowed for the average citizen of their state.
Thereby helping to make the citizens equal to police and law enforcement agencies with in the same state, and, in some part, making rouge politicians accountable for their actions trying to disarm the people.
It is important to note that the Movement is not asking industry to join a “conspiracy†but only to make their own sales policies support the right of the individual to keep and bear the same arms as all other classes of people in their respective states. The Firearms Movement is just that, a movement and not collusion, as some have suggested. In the end each and every company is free to do business as they wish.

As of yet we have not seen the big four manufactures, Glock, Sig Saur, Smith & Wesson and Ruger, that supply the majority of police contracts, make the same policy changes but I am still hopeful that they will move to support their biggest customer of all, the American people.
It is great to see manufactures banding together to protect the rights of their customers and hold politicians accountable for their acts disarming the American public.
As this movement evolves I would like to see this become an unsaid blanket policy that apply to all states, especially New Jersey, Maryland, California and anywhere else where honest law abiding citizens right to keep and bear arms of equal fire power as the state the live in.

Colorado Lawmakers: Women Don’t Need Guns To Prevent Rape

Jessie Ulibarri, another elitist Democrat, argued that instead of firing back at a crazed gunman, innocent victims would be better off using “ballpoint pens” to stab him when he stops to reload. Colorado Rep. Paul Rosenthal, another Democrat, told women to rely on the “buddy system” instead.

Venezuela joins fellow communist regimes such as the USSR, China, North Korea, and the Nazis by banning gun ownership. I now expect crime to increase and would not be surprised by a crackdown on citizens from the government.

Over the past half century, the right of citizens in Western countries to defend themselves has eroded.
This is partly due to neglect. As our societies have urbanized, we have shown greater willingness to let professional police officers defend our loved ones, our property and ourselves. After all, more of us now live closer to police stations than our parents, or certainly our grandparents.
But the erosion of our right to selfdefence has also been a deliberate initiative by governments. Increasingly, politicians, policy-makers, academics and police have come to think that citizens who take up weapons – firearms or otherwise – to defend themselves are as dangerous to social peace as criminals.

Incoming DNC Head Wants All Gun Purchases Screened

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz said the current law, which allows private firearm sales without background checks, is “outrageous.” The Florida Democrat is sponsoring a soon-to-be-released proposal extending the screening requirements to all gun purchases, commercial or private.
This will only hurt the Democratic Party and the President if any kind of bill is introduced. Every time the Democrats propose something related to guns we all know that it is intended as a stepping stone to eventual disarmament of the American public. For those that have forgotten:

Illinois AG Wants To Finger Gun Owners
Illinois gun owners beware, your attorney general wants to release your name to the media. John Stossel writes about your privacy in a new Reason.com article:
One nice thing about concealed weapons is that even people who don’t carry guns are safer because the muggers can’t tell who is armed and who isn’t. Releasing the list of permit-holders undermines that benefit. It’s not unusual for a woman who has been threatened by an ex-husband or boyfriend to obtain a gun and a carry permit for self-protection. Why should the threatening male get to find out if the woman is armed?
The anti-gun lobby downplays this danger as though it were inconceivable that someone would get names off a list in order to commit violence. However, we know of cases where people named on sex-offender registries were murdered.

Concealed Carry On The Rise
As Morning Journal points out concealed carry permits have increased over the past several years while wild west shoot-outs have not.
The growth of concealed carry in Ohio reflects a widespread acceptance in most parts of the nation since 1987 when Florida opened the door to concealed carry.
Today, only Illinois and Wisconsin absolutely prohibit concealed carry.
