Detailed Breakdown Of ATF’s Brace Ruling

From Enbloc Press:

The new rule will change how the legality of brace-equipped firearms is decided. The change will go into effect as soon as 08F is entered into the federal register, and, once law, affected gun owners will have 120 days to register their newly reclassified brace-equipped weapons as short barreled rifles (SBRs) or to modify, surrender, or destroy their firearms (lol. lmao, even).

ATF Ruling Puts Millions of Gun Owners In Jeopardy

From The Reload:

The agency announced plans to publish the final version of their rule reclassifying pistol braces, a popular firearm accessory, on Friday. The rule, which President Joe Biden requested as part of his efforts to unilaterally reform gun laws, would effectively ban the use of braces unless registered with the ATF. Anyone who does not comply with the rule could be subject to upwards of ten years in federal prison despite the agency previously ruling the braces were legal multiple times over the past decade.

Bill Introduced Would De-fang NFA, Increase Gun Rights

From Guns.com:

The newly announced Stop Harassing Owners of Rifles Today, or SHORT Act, introduced by U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) in the Senate and U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) in the House, will remove the taxation, registration, and regulation in the NFA of firearms such as Short Barreled Rifles, Short-Barreled Shotguns, and Any Other Weapons. The sponsors argue it is past time for this reform and, in doing so, halt the Biden Administration’s pretending that people who own pistols with stabilizing braces in most cases possess illegal short-barreled rifles.

Questions Remain About Vegas Shooting

From Ammoland:

What’s not explained is a curious claim made on page 3 of the “Paddock” report dated 10/02/2017:

“On or around October 1, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Stephen Paddock, DOB 4/9/1953, illegally possessed prohibited firearms [emphasis added] in violation of 26 U.S.C. Section 5841. Paddock utilized prohibited firearms in the mass shooting incident that took place on Las Vegas Boulevard (the Strip) in which 50 people were killed and over 500 people were injured.”

The bottom line is “bump stocks,” which were “legal” at the time, could not have been the “illegally possessed prohibited firearms” referred to in the “Paddock” report. So what weapon/s are they referring to?

ATF Targets Objects Rather Than Criminals

From Bearing Arms:

One of our favorite three letter agencies is at it again. A recent report by attorney Dillon Harris of the Prince Law Offices noted that the ATF has been sending out new nasty grams to alleged customers that may have purchased Forced Reset Triggers and or so-called solvent traps. It’s not exactly known at this time how the ATF procured customer information, but the agency that’s so fond of murdering dogs and sending out malicious Valentine’s Day greetings seems to have the firm Harris is a member of without the lack of clients.

ATF Plans To Create Millions Of Felons With Pistol Brace Ruling

From Ammoland:

AmmoLand News has uncovered information showing that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is planning to force gun owners to register firearms with pistol braces as a National Firearms Act (NFA) ATF Form 1 item.

The document (embedded below) was uncovered in a budget justification from the ATF to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). This form confirms the leaked information AmmoLand News has heard for months from our inside sources at the ATF.

Bill Introduced To Repeal NFA

From Bearing Arms:

I’ve been sitting on news about  the introduction of a bill for several days waiting for more details to come out. On July 15th, 2022 HR 8399  – To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to repeal the National Firearms Act was introduced by Congressman Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina. The bill, which rolled out without any press release or fanfare, is finally available.

Senator Lankford Introduces Pistol Brace Protection Act

From Bearing Arms:

Senator James Lankford (R-OK) is standing up for Oklahomans’ Second Amendment right to own and use pistol braces without burdensome regulation, registration, and taxation. Last week, Lankford introduced the Pistol Brace Protection Act. Lankford’s bill would gut an upcoming final rule by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) by exempting pistol braces from regulation under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The bill eliminates subjective standards that exist in federal law that have allowed ATF to reclassify firearms under the NFA, and guarantees that law-abiding gun owners will not have to register, destroy, or surrender their pistol brace.

Bill Would Eliminate “Any Other Weapon” From NFA

From Guns.com:

The bill, the “No Backdoor Gun Control Act,” was introduced on Wednesday by U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, a Texas Republican, and co-sponsored by 23 other members of the GOP. The lawmakers say the reform is needed to ensure federal gun regulators couldn’t use the AOW section to violate Second Amendment rights – and would be especially important if other bills delete short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns from the NFA.

The Incremental Plan To Destroy The NFA

From Ammoland:

The first step is well underway. It is to educate the gun culture and the general public about the history and failure of the National Firearms Act. When people learn the history and the effects of the act, support for it evaporates.

When people understand the NFA is the result of a political compromise that did nothing to stop crime; but results in thousands of Americans being punished for peaceful acts, support for the NFA drops to politically irrelevant numbers. Support for the NFA is fairly wide, but very shallow, propped up by the dominant Media and their creation and proliferation of false narratives.

ATF Going After Metal Tubes

From Ammoland:

A solvent trap is designed to catch solvent from a firearm when the gun is being cleaned. The solvent trap attaches to the front of the gun by using a threaded barrel. The solvent collects at the bottom of the tube of the trap. Solvent traps have been popular amongst firearms enthusiasts that with possession of proper Licenses can convert the traps into fully functioning suppressors by drilling out internal plugs and the closed tubing end.

“Solvent Traps” or “Fuel Filter Kits” are not regulated by the Gun Control Act (GCA) or the National Firearms Act (NFA), because and let us be honest here, we are talking about metal tubing. But that might be changing with the new rules expected this month. Certain senior members of the ATF leadership see solvent traps as a loophole to get around NFA restrictions on hearing protection devices, aka firearms silencers.
