Federal Bill To Ban Online Ammo Sales
From Bearing Arms:
Literally named the “Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act of 2023,” the measure was filed last month in Congress by U.S. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a New Jersey Democrat. Coleman was endorsed for office last fall by national anti-gun groups including billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown organization.
NY Targets Online Ammo Sales
From Bearing Arms:
Is buying ammunition online illegal in the state of New York? Well, it depends on who you ask, but according to New York Attorney General Letitia James it is a crime to ship ammunition to online buyers thanks to the state’s SAFE Act, and she’s warning dozens of online retailers that they risk “serious legal consequences” if they continue to sell to New York residents.
UPS Continues Its Attack On The Gun Industry
From Ammoland:
UPS has stepped up its anti-gun campaign by requiring online sellers to ship an average of 50 handguns daily to use its 2nd Day Air service.
Sellers who do not ship at least 350 handguns a week risk losing their shipping accounts. Under the new agreement, UPS is only required to give customers a ten-day notice before cutting them off from the shipping service. The volume necessary means that most online retailers and manufacturers are now cut off from shipping guns through the carrier unless the handgun is shipped using the expensive Next Day Air service.
Dems Continue Assault On Guns With Online Ammo Bill
From Guns.com:
First, it would institute a program to require ammo dealers to obtain a license to sell their products to consumers. Current federal law only requires a license for those engaged in importing or manufacturing ammunition, not to sell, purchase, or possess. This would inevitably have the effect of trimming the number of legal vendors to the marketplace.
Next, Coleman’s bill would require face-to-face transfers of ammunition from licensed dealers to consumers, which is a departure from the common practice today of gun owners searching for deals through online sites such as Guns.com to fill their ammo needs. This would be further enhanced by a ban on shipping ammo to anyone without a license.

Do you wish there was one convenient place where you can buy everything from firearms to optics, outdoor gear, knives, gun parts, reloading supplies and much, much more? Then you really need to check out Everest.com.
Online Gun Sales Can’t Be Stopped
From Bearing Arms:
Private gun sales are banned from most social media platforms, including Facebook, but a new Wall Street Journal story shows just how difficult it can be to proactively enforce the ban, given the creative ways that users have found to get around the edict.
According to the WSJ, would-be gun sellers are now posting pictures of stickers for sale alongside a gun company logo. Interested buyers are encouraged to contact the seller for more info, and that’s when the talk can turn from stickers to sidearms.
Government Unable To Purchase Illegal Firearms Online
From IJR:
Our covert testing involving GAO agents attempting to purchase firearms illegally on the Surface Web were unsuccessful. Specifically, private sellers on Surface Web gun forums and in classified ads were unwilling to sell a firearm to our agents that self-identified as being prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Some Sanity From California Court on Internet Ammo Sales
From TheTruthAboutGuns.com:
The specific reason why the law was overturned isn’t because they were a violation of the Second Amendment (because what self respecting California judge would ever rule in favor of the 2A?). Instead the California Superior Court decision said the requirements were unconstitutionally vague. Thanks to the various pistol caliber carbines available as well as the pistol version of the AR-15 and the AK-47, it makes it impossible to actually define what a handgun caliber is.

Could this site be the eBay of gun sales? Here’s hoping its successful.
