Senator Schumer on Guns: “Universal Registration”
They can’t deny their agenda now.
Larry Pratt Is The New Voice Of Gun Owners
The NRA and Wayne LaPierrre have not, in my opinion, made a decent argument in favor of gun ownership. Larry Pratt has filled that void with a strong and clearly defined argument in favor of liberty. Below are some highlights.
Veteran Victim Of “Common Sense” Gun Laws
The laws that are in place in states like New York do nothing to prevent crime and in fact create new criminals out of previous law-abiding citizens. A prime example is this case out of New York where a veteran is facing 7 years in prison for the possession of 5 magazines, meanwhile David Gregory of NBC News is on video breaking the Washington, D.C. law and he is not charged.

Shield Tactical Moves To Texas From California
They have chosen Shiner, Texas as their new home.
Shield Tactical sells just about every firearm option that’s available and also provides training services. Here’s their sale page. Thanks in no small part to the Obama-Feinstein rush against the Second Amendment, business is rolling pretty well for Shield.

Rape Victim’s Ability To Defend Herself Was Legislated Away
Posted by Brian in Law, News, Opinion, Threat Watch on 21/Feb/2013 16:53
I was raped, I was raped at gun-point in a gun-free zone less that 100 feet away from the police department’s office and then he when on to further rape two other women and murder his third victim.
Colorado Lawmaker Apologizes For Misogynistic Rape Comments
From The Daily Caller:
…Rep. Joe Salazar apologized Monday for suggesting some women are so unjustifiably afraid of being raped that they are liable to start shooting wildly.
Here are his original comments:
MagPul and Colorado
From KitUp:
…gun control issues aside (though by no means to marginalize them) this will be of significance to Kit Up! readers because it centers around MagPul Industries Corporation, manufacturer of the PMag. MagPul is based in Erie, Colorado, and will obviously be impacted severely if the 13-1224 becomes law (this despite transparently self-serving last minute attempts on the part of supporting legislators to provide an exemption for manufacture). The significance of this lies on several levels, from that of the national debate on gun control to the impact on an individual’s ability to purchase the kit he or she wants at a time when magazines are already in short supply (and potentially those already owned).
Colorado Lawmakers: Women Don’t Need Guns To Prevent Rape
From Townhall.com:
Colorado Sen. Jessie Ulibarri, another elitist Democrat, argued that instead of firing back at a crazed gunman, innocent victims would be better off using “ballpoint pens” to stab him when he stops to reload. Colorado Rep. Paul Rosenthal, another Democrat, told women to rely on the “buddy system” instead.

Dear Governor Cuomo, Senators Klein, Marchione, Skelos, Stewart-Cousins, and Chairman Cox;
By this correspondence, the Saratoga County Deputy Sheriffs’ Pol ice Benevolent Association (SCDSPBA) would like to announce our strong opposition to the passage of the SAFE Act and the manner in which is was negotiated and subsequently voted upon. The SCDSPBA represents the sworn men and women police officers of the Saratoga County Sheriff’ s Office.
Our objections to the legislation are numerous and begin with the process under which the bill was voted on in the Senate. It is deeply disturbing to our membership, as public servants and citizens of the state of New York. the manner in which this legislation was brought to the Senate for vote. It is our understanding that many senators had approximately 20 minutes to read the legislation before being forced to vote on it and note that the bill was brought before the Senate and voted on so quickly that its authors failed to make provisions for the exemption of police officers or the National Guard with respect to the new magazine-capacity requirements. Washington To Completely Ban “Assault Weapons”
Democrats in Washington state have proposed legislation that would outlaw so called “assault weapons” and require yearly inspections by the sheriff.
From Activist Post:
In order to continue to possess a so-called assault weapon that was owned before the assumed passing of the legislation, the person must “safely and securely” store the assault weapon and allow the sheriff of the county to, no more than once per year, conduct an inspection to “ensure compliance,” despite some apparent civil liberties implications related to the Fourth Amendment.
Missouri Introduces Bill To Ban And Confiscate “Assault” Weapons
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 15/Feb/2013 17:11
This is starting to get ridiculous. The anti-constitutionalists around the country who are proposing these laws better be voted out next time they are up for election. If any of these laws pass one can only hope that the people will resist in mass civil disobedience.
Missouri bill full text here.
Excerpt:
4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:
(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;
(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or
(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.
5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.
Texas Bill To Provide For Gun Safety Classes In High Schools
From San Antonio’s KENS 5:
Gabriel Rivera, a Douglas MacArthur High School student, believes the classes could stop tragedies like the one at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
“It’s not who can use it, bad or good. It’s who can use it properly,” said Rivera. “It think it’s a good way for people to be safe with weapons and guns in general.”
