No-Nnock Warrant Results In Death Of Officer

On December 19th, a sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed during an attempt to serve a “no knock†warrant near Sommerville, Texas. Just before 6:00 A.M. an 8 member SWAT team broke through the door of Henry Goedrich Magee to serve a warrant which would permit the team to search the mobile home in which Magee and his pregnant girlfriend were living.
How many more police officers have to die before we stop these stupid raids?
Judge Rules Chicago Handgun Law Unconstitutional

U.S. District Court Judge Edmond E. Chang wrote in a 35-page opinion that “Chicago’s ordinance goes too far in outright banning legal buyers and legal dealers from engaging in lawful acquisitions and lawful sales of firearms . . .â€
Bill Proposed In New Mexico To Ban Private Gun Sales At Gun Shows
Representative Miguel Garcia (D-Bernalillo) has introduced Bill 44 that would prohibit anyone except a licensed dealer from selling guns at a gun show.

Although HB 44 contains language that would require improved reporting to the FBI of persons prohibited from purchasing firearms and protect against the development of any registry of lawful gun buyers by state or local agencies, make no mistake: gun control remains the centerpiece of this very flawed legislation. This will be just the first step toward banning ALL private gun sales and transfers – in fact, that’s exactly what the original language of HB 77 did when it was introduced last year! If enacted, gun control advocates will check this scheme off their list and they will move toward gun bans and magazine limits, just like in Colorado.
FBI Changes Primary Function To National Security
Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t we have the NSA, CIA, DIA and all branches of the military for national security?

The FBI’s creeping advance into the world of counterterrorism is nothing new. But quietly and without notice, the agency has finally decided to make it official in one of its organizational fact sheets. Instead of declaring “law enforcement” as its “primary function,” as it has for years, the FBI fact sheet now lists “national security” as its chief mission. The changes largely reflect the FBI reforms put in place after September 11, 2001, which some have criticized for de-prioritizing law enforcement activities. Regardless, with the 9/11 attacks more than a decade in the past, the timing of the edits is baffling some FBI-watchers.
Gun Grabbers Are Liars

The problem for gun control advocates is that they keep promising that no way will registration lead to confiscation of firearms, even as it does just that. The Brady Campaign’s Dennis A. Henigan accuses the National Rifle Association of peddling “fear” for even raising the possibility. In the New York Times, Charles Blow calls such concerns “cultural paranoia.”
Yet gun owners seem to have legitimate worries. Hundreds of New York City residents are receiving, and publicizing, letters demanding the surrender, not of scary “assault weapons,” whatever arbitrary definition may locally apply to that slippery term, but of target rifles and cowboy guns.
Citizens Ignoring Gun Registration
Connecticut voters voted in anti-gun politicians. Anti-gun politicians pass anti-gun registration laws. Voters ignore the law. Is this hypocrisy? Can some social scientist explain this?

Michael Lawlor, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s criminal justice advisor, said that so far fewer people than expected have registered weapons under the new law. However, he said gun owners should take seriously the consequences of ignoring the law. Disregarding the registration requirements can carry felony charges in some cases, which can make Connecticut residents ineligible to own guns.
Sheriffs Ignore Gun Control Laws

Some sheriffs, like Sheriff Cooke, are refusing to enforce the laws, saying that they are too vague and violate Second Amendment rights. Many more say that enforcement will be “a very low priority,†as several sheriffs put it. All but seven of the 62 elected sheriffs in Colorado signed on in May to a federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the statutes.
The resistance of sheriffs in Colorado is playing out in other states, raising questions about whether tougher rules passed since Newtown will have a muted effect in parts of the American heartland, where gun ownership is common and grass-roots opposition to tighter restrictions is high.
