Potential Biden Gun Restrictions
From The Federalist:
Out of the myriad options a Biden administration will have to infringe on our constitutional protections, which will they choose first? Based on my experience with clients and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (AFT) as a firearms attorney, some recent news events, and a bit of firearm-industry intuition, I think the first things a Biden administration will do regarding guns if given the chance are:
- Banning pistol braces
- Banning homemade firearms/80 percent receivers
- Banning online firearm and ammunition sales
Shortly after the first bans, and if he has the help of the Senate, the next gun control measures will likely be:
- Banning “assault weaponsâ€
- Banning “high capacity†magazines
- Requiring universal background checks

However, the actual text of the bill does not offer such a clear definition.
Mess Of An Article Can’t Reconcile Gun Rights And Minority Rights
From Huckmag.com:
Feral says a ban would be “low-hanging fruit†for Biden’s base, but the implications might be anything but progressive. “If they make assault weapons a National Firearms Act regulated item, you’re talking about $1000 in tax stamps alone [to buy an assault rifle].†In her view, this doesn’t keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people – it keeps them out of the hands of poor people.

Trump Greeted With Cheers At Army Navy Game
From Newsmax:
President Donald Trump was greeted with loud cheers and chants of “USA! USA!” at Saturday’s Army-Navy game held at West Point.
Despite the smaller venue and the coronavirus-limited crowd, the roar among the 9,000 students of both military schools was loud and boisterous. The game was moved from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia because of coronavirus, but the acoustics of West Point made for a powerful salute.
As NRA Influence Wanes New Groups Are Stepping Up
From Mother Jones:
Several groups have already ramped up their operations over the past year, such as Gun Owners of America, a national group that former Texas Rep. Ron Paul once called “the only no-compromise gun lobby in Washington.†Van Cleave says the VCDL has “been working quite a bit with†Gun Owners of America on both state and national issues. “I think what’s going to happen is as the NRA ends up being pretty crippled for a while, there are other organizations that are going to step forward,†he says. “There’s not going to be a void there, somebody’s going to fill that.â€
