Why Carry A Revolver?
From USA Carry:
Beginner friendly
Revolvers are great for first-time gun owners because they are simple to operate. For Double Action Only (DAO) revolvers, there is nothing to mess up once it’s loaded. Simply point to the target and fire. For SA/DA revolvers, there is the simplicity of DAO action with the option of single action tight shooting.
Citizens Take Control Of Neighborhood When Police Won’t
From Sacramento Bee:
Asian residents of south Sacramento say they’ve formed their own armed patrols to respond to a wave of robberies that has terrorized the community, where business owners report a steep drop in customers because people are afraid to go out after dark.
Some Chinese community leaders have formed a task force to combat the issue themselves, frustrated by the slow response from civic leaders. The volunteers have launched armed patrols in south Sacramento and respond to calls for assistance from those using WeChat, a popular social media app that originated in China.
“There’s no difference between night and day,†he said of the requests for assistance. “We need to take security into our own hands. If not, who will protect us?â€
This is why everyone should have the choice to defend themselves how they see fit. The police will not always be there and have no legal duty to protect anyone.

Marine Open Letter To NFL Commisioner
From Allen B. West.com:
Commissioner,
I’ve been a season pass holder at Yankee Stadium, Yale Bowl and Giants Stadium.
I missed the ’90-’91 season because I was with a battalion of Marines in Desert Storm. 14 of my wonderful Marines returned home with the American Flag draped across their lifeless bodies. My last conversation with one of them, Sgt Garrett Mongrella, was about how our Giants were going to the Super Bowl. He never got to see it.
Many friends, Marines, and Special Forces Soldiers who worked with or for me through the years returned home with the American Flag draped over their coffins.
Now I watch multi-millionaire athletes who never did anything in their lives but play a game, disrespect what brave Americans fought and died for. They are essentially spitting in the faces and on the graves of real men, men who have actually done something for this country beside playing with a ball and believing they’re something special! They’re not! My Marines and Soldiers were!
You are complicit in this!
You’ll fine players for large and small infractions but you lack the moral courage and respect for our nation and the fallen to put an immediate stop to this. Yes, I know, it’s their 1st Amendment right to behave in such a despicable manner. What would happen if they came out and disrespected you or the refs publicly?
I observed a player getting a personal foul for twerking in the end zone after scoring. I guess that’s much worse than disrespecting the flag and our National Anthem. Hmmmmm, isn’t it his 1st Amendment right to express himself like an idiot in the end zone?
Why is taunting not allowed yet taunting America is OK? You fine players for wearing 9-11 commemorative shoes yet you allow scum on the sidelines to sit, kneel or pump their pathetic fist in the air. They are so deprived with their multi-million dollar contracts for playing a freaking game! You condone it all by your refusal to act. You’re just as bad and disgusting as they are. I hope Americans boycott any sponsor who supports that rabble you call the NFL. I hope they turn off the TV when any team that allowed this disrespect to occur, without consequence, on the sidelines. I applaud those who have not.
Legends and heroes do NOT wear shoulder pads. They wear body armor and carry rifles.
They make minimum wage and spend months and years away from their families. They don’t do it for an hour on Sunday. They do it 24/7 often with lead, not footballs, coming in their direction. They watch their brothers carted off in pieces not on a gurney to get their knee iced. They don’t even have ice! Many don’t have legs or arms.
Some wear blue and risk their lives daily on the streets of America. They wear fire helmets and go upstairs into the fire rather than down to safety. On 9-11, hundreds vanished. They are the heroes.
I hope that your high paid protesting pretty boys and you look in that mirror when you shave tomorrow and see what you really are, legends in your own minds. You need to hit the road and take those worms with you!
Time to change the channel.

Gun Crime On The Rise In Australia?
From The Age:
The facts are chilling and compelling. In as little as five years, gun crimes have more than doubled. Some very dangerous people are involved; in 2015 alone, more than 750 people with serious criminal convictions were caught carrying guns. That’s up a staggering five times since 2011. Shootings have literally become a weekly event. Crimes related to firearm possession have more than doubled in the past five years. The number of young criminals has rocketed; almost 1500 people aged between 20 and 34 committed a gun offence last year, more than twice the number five years ago. A culture of carrying, and using, guns is becoming worryingly entrenched in criminal circles.

Julie Golob Responds To President On Guns
Posted by Brian in Law, Matches and Competitions, Opinion on 16/Sep/2016 07:00
From America’s First Freedom:
How do you respond to President Barack Obama’s statement that failure to pass more gun control is the “most disappointing†aspect of his presidency?Â
Gun control is a theory that appeases those who think words on paper will affect criminal intent to do violence. In truth, it robs Americans who wish to take responsibility for their personal protection and freedom of the right to do so. It’s a form of oppression cloaked in words like “reasonableâ€Â and “sensible.†It doesn’t attack the root of the problem, but exacerbates it.
Special Forces Kills Three ISIS Members From Over A Mile
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch, Warriors on 15/Sep/2016 07:00
From Fox News:
A sharpshooter killed a top ISIS executioner and three other jihadists with a single bullet from nearly a mile away — just seconds before the fiend was set to burn 12 hostages alive with a flamethrower, according to a new report.
The British Special Air Service marksman turned one of the most hated terrorists in Syria into a fireball by using a Barett .50-caliber rifle to strike a fuel tank affixed to the jihadi’s back, the UK’s Daily Star reported Sunday.
Pink Pistols Chapters Increase
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 14/Sep/2016 07:00
From LA Times:
Interest in the Pink Pistols has increased since the Orlando attack, with new chapters springing up across the country, including the West Hollywood chapter and another one in North Hollywood. There was such an outpouring of support from firearms trainers, many of them straight, that the Pink Pistols’ website now has a map listing LGBT-friendly firearms instructors in every state.
A fifth of the 5,462 single-bias hate crimes reported to the FBI in 2014, the most recent year for which data are available, were because of the victim’s sexual orientation or identity as a transgender or gender non-conforming person. That was higher than the number of religiously motivated hate crimes and surpassed only by racially motivated hate crimes. And, experts say, the number is disproportionate because of the relatively small size of the LGBT community.
Open Carry Encounter Goes Well
From The Truth About Guns:
I often open carry, especially in the summer when the temperatures make concealed carry a bit more cumbersome. I was open carrying at this Yuma, Arizona gas station when a man approached me. He asked if Arizona is an open carry state. I told him it was, and went on to explain that most states were. He said he was from Colorado, where open carry was forbidden in some cities.
The encounter illustrates an often underrated advantage of open carry: it’s an excellent way to meet interesting, mostly friendly people who are potential allies. About 95 percent of the contacts that I make while openly carrying are amiable and curious, as this gentleman was.
Campus Carry Costs Were Exagerated
From Guns.com:
In an agency fiscal note from the UT system to lawmakers, the school estimated a cost of $39,327,319 over six years to implement the practice, including an outlay of nearly $10 million the first year. Most of this was associated with adding another 52 full time security employees and expanding surveillance camera networks.
Now, budget information from about 40 colleges and universities across the Lone Star State shows that combined cost to implement the new law that took effect last month was just $955,000, typically spent on signage, The Dallas Morning News reported.
