You Can’t Ban The Human Mind

From The Truth About Guns:

It’s been less than a month since new federal rules took effect attempting to rein in the proliferation of so-called “ghost guns,” a catchall term for unserialized, home-built firearms that Democratic leaders, law enforcement officials, and gun control groups say are turning up in the hands of criminals across the United States.

But barely a few weeks into the new regulatory regime, the firearms industry has already adapted and scored an early legal victory. And gun enthusiasts have created and released open-source blueprints for a simple plastic tool that offers a relatively quick, easy—and apparently legal—workaround for anyone who still wants to build an untraceable weapon.

While a national debate rages over whether armed guards should be stationed at public places like schools, retailers around the country are beefing up armed security presence in stores, mostly using ex-police and military. Since July 2021, there’s been a 108% increase in demand for armed guards at grocery stores, according to Allied Universal, one of the world’s largest security staffing firms, which works with many of the nation’s biggest retailers and shopping malls.

Study: Access To Guns Reduced Lynchings

From Reason:

In her 1892 pamphlet Southern Horrors: Lynch Law in All Its Phases, the journalist Ida B. Wells argued that firearms were an essential tool in preventing the deadly white supremacist violence that she chronicled. “Of the many inhuman outrages of this present year, the only case where the proposed lynching did not occur, was where the men armed themselves in Jacksonville, Fla., and Paducah, Ky, and prevented it,” she wrote. “The only times an Afro-American who was assaulted got away has been when he had a gun and used it in self-defense.”

NY Jews Fight New Gun Laws

From Bearing Arms:

People that had carry permits in New York prior to NYSRPA v. Bruen had more rights then, than they do now. Because of these restrictions many are speaking out, and one group has announced they plan to act. A September 5th press release issued by the NYS Jewish Gun Club highlights the vulnerabilities that were just created by unelected Governor Hochul.

Gun Sales Continue Record Of 1 Million A Month For 37 Months

From The Washington Examiner:

President Joe Biden’s anti-gun crusade, echoed in major cities where liberal majors are blaming guns for the rise in young gangbanger killings, is having no impact on the uninterrupted three-year surge in firearm sales.

The FBI reported this week that sales have been over 1 million for 37 straight months, historic numbers.

NY Returns To Its Racist Past With New Gun Law

From Ammoland:

Maj Toure has always said all gun control is racist. If you think the racism that led to gun control laws in the past is dead, you would be wrong.

One of the most bigoted laws that the Supreme Court recently knocked down was New York State’s laws surrounding the concealed carry of a firearm. The so-called “Sullivan Laws” was set up by the Irish in New York to prevent Italian immigrants from obtaining firearms legally by adding the “proper cause” clause to the law. This allowed New York to deny the right to carry a firearm to anyone it chose. The Supreme Court rightfully knocked down the law, only to see New York pass the Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA) that put a “moral character” clause into effect.

Confiscation If A Threat To Every American

From Dissident Voice:

In the wake of yet another round of mass shootings, these gun confiscation laws—extreme risk protection order (ERPO) laws—may appease the fears of those who believe that fewer guns in the hands of the general populace will make our society safer.

With these red flag gun laws, the stated intention is to disarm individuals who are potential threats… to “stop dangerous people before they act.”

What’s The Data On Civilians Stopping Shootings?

From The New American:

John Lott, head of the Crime Prevention Research Center, exposed the error on Wednesday in his report “How the FBI Undercounts Armed Citizen Responders to Mass Killers — and Media Play Along.” He reported that the FBI showed that only 11 out of 252 active shooter incidents in its database were stopped by an armed citizen.

But the FBI undercounted the number of incidents they collected between 2014 and 2021. According to Lott’s research, there were a total of 281 active shooter incidents, and 41 of them were stopped by armed citizens.

Amazon Fires Black Father Of Three For Defending Himself

From Fox19:

“I had to fend for my life at that moment, because that guy was attacking me with a knife,” he said. “He came at me with a knife. If I didn’t have my firearm, I would not be here today. I know that for a fact. I would not be here today. My family would be planning my funeral.”

NYT Shocked Public Defenders Support Second Amendment

From Reason:

A group of public defense lawyer organizations recently joined forces with Second Amendment advocates to urge the U.S. Supreme Court to invalidate a New York gun control scheme. Now that the scheme has been successfully overturned in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, which held that the Second Amendment includes the right “to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home,” public defenders have begun citing the Court’s ruling to protect the rights of their clients.

This state of affairs has left some New York Times journalists scratching their heads in surprise. As a recent Times headline put it: “Unlikely Fans of Supreme Court Ruling on Guns: Public Defenders.” The accompanying article describes the Black Attorneys of Legal Aid, the Bronx Defenders, and other groups as “unexpected” allies of the gun rights movement.

You Have A Right To ALL Weapons

From Ammoland:

Contrary to what President Biden keeps babbling on about cannons, the Second Amendment “right of the people to keep and bear arms” was considered comprehensive at the time of the founding. Civilians could and did own cannons, repeating rifles, and even warships armed with cannons. In his ridiculous decision in the Dred Scott case, explaining why dark-skinned people of African heritage could not be citizens, Justice Taney infamously rolled out his “parade of horribles,” saying that if African-Americans were citizens, they would be able to freely travel between states, hold political meetings, and carry arms wherever they went.
