Obama Calls For Speech Regulation
From National Review:
“There are millions of people who subscribed to the notion that Joe Biden is a socialist, who subscribed to the notion that Hillary Clinton was part of an evil cabal that was involved in pedophile rings. I think at some point it’s going to require a combination of regulation and standards within industries to get us back to the point where we at least recognize a common set of facts before we start arguing about what we should do about those facts.”
Ohio OKs Armed Teachers
From Bearing Arms:
Lawmakers in the Buckeye State aren’t waiting for the court to decide if the current statutes allow for districts to determine their own training policies for armed school staff. On Wednesday, the state Senate approved legislation that specifically authorizes school staffers to carry without going through hundreds of hours of peace officer training.
New York Sheriffs Refuse To Enforce Lockdown
From PJ Media:
Several county sheriffs in New York State are saying they will not enforce Governor Andrew Cuomo’s executive order that limits Thanksgiving Day gatherings to 10 people or less.
Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo summed up the sheriffs’ objections nicely. “I can’t see how devoting our resources to counting cars in citizens’ driveways or investigating how much turkey and dressing they’ve purchased is for the public good,†Zurlo said in a press release.
Who Are The Real Fascists?
From Newsweek:
Until further notice, teachers in the area will not be able to include on their curriculum Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, Theodore Taylor’s The Cay and Mildred D. Taylor’s Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.
WA Confiscation Law Unconstitutional
From NRA-ILA:
Earlier this year, in a ruling of first impression in Washington State, the Kitsap County District Court decided that the state’s compulsory “firearm surrender†laws violated the Fourth and Fifth Amendments and the analogous provisions in the state constitution. “In our constitutional system of government, individuals have rights that the government and its agents (including courts) must respect. Among those rights are the right to be free from compelled self-incrimination under the Fifth Amendment, the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures under the Fourth Amendment, and their counterparts under Washington’s constitution.â€
Biden Team Member Advocates Restrictions on Free Speech
From NY Post:
He wrote: “All speech is not equal. And where truth cannot drive out lies, we must add new guardrails. I’m all for protecting ‘thought that we hate,’ but not speech that incites hate.â€
Stengel offered two examples of speech that he has an issue with: Quran burning and circulation of “false narratives†by Russia during the 2016 election.
Americans Prove They Want Guns With Their Actions
From National Shooting Spots Foundation:
“These figures, combined with the record-breaking 17.2 million NSSF-adjusted background checks for the sale or transfer of a firearm in the first ten months of 2020, demonstrates that Americans have a strong desire to continue purchasing firearms for lawful purposes,†said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF’s President and CEO
Elites Want To Use Covid To Remake The World
From Fox News:
America is locking down again. In some places, that’s already happening. If you have kids, you’ve seen it. Joe Biden has promised more of it — more masks, more quarantines, more limits on travel, more restrictions on who you can eat with and who you can touch.
The most intimate details of our lives are being completely controlled by our leadership class. The people who used to scream at politicians, “Keep your hands off my body!” aren’t saying a thing about this. In fact, they’re encouraging it.
The View From Liberal Gun Owners
From NY Mag:
“You can’t say you’re for civil rights and have a civil right you’re absolutely interested in curtailing,†says Lara Smith, the spokesperson for the Liberal Gun Club, an organization founded in 2008 that provides gun-skills courses for as little as $10 a year and has 4,500 members. She says that Democratic lawmakers are totally ignorant when it comes to how guns actually work.
Gun Control Support Falling
From Gallup:
In the absence of a high-profile mass shooting in the U.S. in 2020 and amid the coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest related to racial justice issues and the contentious presidential election campaign, Americans are less likely than they have been since 2016 to call for increased gun control. The latest majority (57%) in the U.S. who call for stricter laws covering the sale of firearms marks a seven-percentage-point decline since last year. At the same time, 34% of U.S. adults prefer that gun laws be kept as they are now, while 9% would like them to be less strict.
Vista Outdoors Has Billion Dollar Ammo Backlog
From Guns America:
“We currently have over a year’s worth of orders for ammunition in excess of $1 billion,†CEO Chis Metz said during the Nov. 5 call, calling the backlog “unprecedented.â€
“With demand far outstripping supply and inventory levels in the channel at all-time lows, we see strong demand continuing, and this metric informs our viewpoint of what a recovery or normalization could look like,†he continued.
Open Letter To New Gun Owners
From Open Source Defense:
But if you’re new to gun ownership, you probably don’t fully understand the different policy objectives of the Republican and Democratic party presidential nominees. We at OSD would like to examine the platforms in an unbiased and detailed manner, so you can understand the implications.
