Hunting Calibers Hard To Find?
It’s not just .223 that is in short supply.
Shotgun loads for shot and rifled slugs remain easy to find. But reflecting a national trend, availability of rifle and handgun ammunition in Pittsburgh area sporting goods stores is spotty and inconsistent. Many shelves are empty. A clerk at one local store, who asked that he and the retailer remain anonymous, said customers are going from store to store searching for common calibers and sometimes not finding them.
60% of Americans Think Federal Gov’t Has Too Much Power
From Gallup:
Six in 10 Americans (60%) believe the federal government has too much power, one percentage point above the previous high recorded in September 2010. At least half of Americans since 2005 have said the government has too much power. Thirty-two percent now say the government has the right amount of power. Few say it has too little power.
Obama Denied Veterans’ Request to Visit WWII Memorial
From The Daily Caller:
“We got the heads up that they will be barricaded and specifically asked for an exception for these heroes,†Palazzo told TheDC. “We were denied and told, ‘It’s a government shutdown, what do you expect?’ when we contacted the liaison for the White House.â€
Hypocrites in Maryland
The voters of Maryland elected anti-gun representatives and now those citizens are rushing to buy as many guns as possible before the new draconian gun laws go into effect. Why do these people keep electing anti-gun politicians? We see the same thing every time in those states that pass anti-gun legislation. The laws are passed and then there is a rush to get as many guns before the laws actually take effect. This could all be avoided if the voters would just stop electing liberty hating statists to office.
.22 AK Trainer
From AllOutdoor.com:
GSG AK47-22 currently imported by ATI is the logical offering for the training market. Designed to mimic controls and overall feel of the 7.62 and 5.45 AK rifles, it appeals most to those who train CQB extensively and burn up significant amounts of ammunition in the process. However scarce and expensive 22LR has recently become, it is still far more affordable than centerfire ammunition. Rimfire ammunition also erodes range backstops substantially less, allowing indoor carbine training at pistol-only facilities.
Credit Card Company Cancels Gunstore Account For Selling Guns
From Fox News
From Daily Finance:
North Carolina’s Hyatt Gun Shop says that it received an email from Authorize.net saying that it would no longer handle the shop’s online transactions. The company pointed to its long-standing policy against working with merchants who sell firearms.
BBC Reporters Told Not To Use The Word “Terrorist”
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 30/Sep/2013 12:45
From The Daily Mail:
The BBC was criticised yesterday for not describing the armed jihadists behind the Kenya shopping centre siege as terrorists.
The corporation’s journalists have avoided using the words ‘terrorist’ and ‘terrorism’ in reports.
Instead, they described the terrorists as ‘Islamist militants’ or ‘suspected Al Shabaab militants’ – and only used the word terrorist in when quoting someone else.

NSA has Laid the Foundation for a Police State
Posted by Gary in Law, News, Threat Watch on 28/Sep/2013 16:06
From: MIT
… by eavesdropping on all Americans, they’re building the technical infrastructure for a police state.
We’re not there yet, but already we’ve learned that both the DEA and the IRS use NSA surveillance data in prosecutions and then lie about it in court. Power without accountability or oversight is dangerous to society at a very fundamental level.

Watch this video below to see and hear first-hand reports from Syrian shopkeepers and civilians defending their lives and homes against radical Muslim jihadists. These innocent Syrians are going to be the ones killed by the arms our President is sending to the jihadists.

Zawahiri Urges Attacks on U.S. Economy
Posted by Brian in News, Threat Watch on 27/Sep/2013 08:21
From The Telegraph:
“We should bleed America economically by provoking it to continue in its massive expenditure on its security, for the weak point of America is its economy, which has already begun to stagger due to the military and security expenditure,†he said, according to SITE, a jihadist monitoring group. “America is not a mythic power and the Americans, after all, are humans who can be defeated, felled and punished.â€
