Part of Chicago Gun Law Unconstitutional
From the Chicago-Sun Times:
Der-Yeghiayan, in a 30-page ruling, called that part of the Chicago Firearm Ordinance “unconstitutionally void for vagueness,†and said it violated Shawn Gowder’s right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Washington Times Editor Wins Journalism Award
Over the past few months Emily Miller at the Washington Times has been investigating how hard it is to get a gun permit in Washington, D.C. Even after the landmark Heller case, it has been one piece of red tape after another. She has made clear that is is easier to break the law and get a gun, than it is to follow the law and get a gun.

Illinois College Holding Utah Concealed Carry Classes
From Guns.com:
That might sound odd, but it actually makes quite a bit of sense. Utah concealed carry permits are recognized in 31 states, so a permit carrier can cross most state lines without too much concern for variable state gun laws. It’s a bit ironic considering that Illinois is the only state that doesn’t permit concealed carry, but where there’s a will there’s a way. Illinois citizens can still prepare for trips abroad into concealed carry-friendly states.

California Wants to Ban Unloaded Rifles
From Guns.com:
Once Assemblyman Anthony Portantino D-La Canada Flintridge realized that there’s no way to tell if a person’s gun is actually unloaded, he modeled this new bill to place an outright ban on all rifles in public. There is already a similar ban on handguns in the state of California.
More on the bill here.

McMillan Firearms is claiming Bank of America terminated their account because of the industry they were in and because of political reasons.
From Guns.com:
Lastly, and to clarify the impetus behind the decision, McMillan asked, “So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?â€
According to McMillan, Fox answered in the affirmative and that was the end of the meeting.
