Gun Laws America REALLY Needs
From The Federalist:
For various reasons, perhaps including his waffling on guns, it is not certain that Trump will be reelected in 2020. But if he stops listening to members of his family who support gun control, if the Republican Senate quashes Democrats’ gun schemes, if Trump is reelected, if the Republicans hold the Senate, and if they re-take the House of Representatives—a lot of ifs—he and the Republicans could change federal gun laws for the better.
Aggressively pursuing these changes and explaining to the American people why the changes are warranted would help protect the right of the people to keep and bear arms. By now, supporters of that right should have figured out that they will never win the war to protect it if they remain catatonic when the opportunity to pass good laws exists, then cower when Democrats and the liberal-left media attack in the minutes, hours, and days after a high-profile crime involving a gun.
Suppressors Support Public Health
From The Truth About Guns:
What if a cheap, reliable method of preventing a common, but serious injury were available and ready for the market? As an ear surgeon who has seen hundreds of patients with irreversible noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), I would welcome it with open arms.

From Bearing Arms:
President Donald Trump said he’ll “seriously look†at banning gun silencers after last week’s mass shooting in Virginia.
“Well, I’d like to think about it,†Trump said in an interview with Piers Morgan on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. “I’m going to seriously look at it.â€
Washington Post Fact Checks Lawmakers On Hearing Protection Act
From The NRA-ILA:
The Washington Post — in one of its rare reversions to journalism – recently issued a fact check that handed Americans for Responsible Solutions and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) three Pinocchios for overstating the noise-canceling properties of firearm suppressors. “There is little that’s quiet about a firearm with a silencer, unless one also thinks a jackhammer is quiet,†the report concluded.Â
ATF White Paper Leaked, Suggests Sweeping Changes
From The Washington Post:
The “white paper†by Ronald B. Turk, associate deputy director and chief operating officer of the ATF, calls for removing restrictions on the sale of gun silencers; allowing gun dealers to have more guns used in crimes traced to their stores before the federal government requires additional information from the dealer; and initiating a study on lifting the ban on imported assault weapons.

From Guns.com:
A bipartisan bill in the U.S. House that would remove firearm suppressors from National Firearms Act regulation after 82 years has picked up a number of new supporters.

Bill Removes Suppressors From National Firearms Act
From American Suppressor Association:
The American Suppressor Association (ASA) is pleased to announce the introduction of the Hearing Protection Act (HPA) by Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05). This historic piece of legislation will remove suppressors from the purview of the National Firearms Act (NFA), replacing the antiquated federal transfer process with an instantaneous NICS background check. Minnesota House To Weigh Legalizing Suppressors
From Star-Tribune:
Also called “suppression devices,†the metal tubes that enable guns to fire more quietly are one step closer to becoming legal after the House Public Safety and Crime Prevention Committee voted Thursday evening to pass a measure legalizing them.
It heads next to the House floor for a vote, but it’s uncertain whether gun-related legislation will gain traction in the Senate, while Gov.Mark Dayton said he has no interest in changing the state’s existing gun laws.
The committee also cleared measures allowing permit holders to carry guns on State Capitol grounds without first notifying the state Department of Public Safety and easing the purchase of guns in other states.
