Border Patrol Sees Significant Drop In Crossings
From Zero Hedge:
A sharp dropoff in the number of illegal border crossers coming into the United States from Mexico is “nothing short of miraculous,” National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told C-SPAN on Monday.
As far as the Trump administration’s efforts on immigration, this is something they campaigned heavily on.
We have never seen such a drop that we currently have.
There’s a vibe, there’s an energy in the Border Patrol that’s never been there before in 20 years that I’ve been in the patrol.  –Brandon Judd
Judd went on to say that Trump’s two Executive Orders instructing border agents to fully carry out laws is in sharp contrast to the Obama administration, which kept agents from performing their sworn duties.
The Washington Examiner reports a 53% decrease in apprehensions at the Southwest border compared to last year - a 6 year low.
Pentagon To Test More Camo For Afghanistan
From Military.com:
Remember that story about the inspector general report that said the U.S. wasted millions on HyperStealth camouflage for Afghan soldiers? Well now the Pentagon is going to do an assessment to see if there are any other camouflage patterns that work well in Afghanistan.
John Sopko, special inspector general for Afghanistan Reconstruction, told lawmakers today that the Defense Department spent $94 million on a proprietary camouflage pattern – known as HyperStealth Spec4ce Forest — for Afghan army forces “without determining the pattern’s effectiveness in Afghanistan compared to other available patterns.â€
Man Who Killed NYPD Officer Posted Anti-cop Writings
From The Blaze:
Ex-convict 34-year-old Alexander Bonds posted a video on Facebook last September threatening to “do something†about police officers who he said were killing people.
“I’m not hesitating. It ain’t happening. I wasn’t a b**** in jail and I’m not going to be a b**** in these streets. They don’t f*** with me and I damn sure don’t f*** with them,†Bonds said in a Facebook video last September. “I’m not playing Mr. Officer. I don’t care about 100 police watching this s**t. You see this face or anything, then leave it alone, trust and believe. I got broken ribs for a reason, son. We gonna shake. We gonna do something.
California Magazine Ban Blocked
From NRA-ILA:
The battle to secure Second Amendment rights is ever-evolving. On Monday, gun owners were dealt a disappointing blow with the Supreme Court’s refusal to review the legal scheme that empowers California counties to effectively ban the bearing of arms (see related article). Yet by Thursday, Second Amendment advocates were cheering a federal court’s opinion blocking enforcement of California’s draconian magazine ban. That opinion, in Duncan v. Becerra, shows what’s possible when a federal judge treats the right to keep and bear arms with the respect deserved by all provisions within the Bill of Rights.Â
Czech Republic Moves To Expand Gun Rights
From NRA-ILA:
Exactly two weeks after the Czech Republic announced that they would challenge restrictive changes to the European Union’s European Firearms Directive in the European Court of Justice, the small nation has once again acted to defend themselves against transnational gun controllers. On June 28, the Czech Chamber of Deputies (the lower house of the Czech Parliament) approved a constitutional amendment to protect Czech citizens’ right to possess firearms and ammunition, with a reported 139 of 200 deputies voting in favor.
Specifically, the proposed constitutional amendment ensures that Czech citizens have a right to keep and bear arms in order to participate in preserving national security.

Canadian Breaks World Record Sniper Shot
From The Globe and Mail:
“The Canadian Special Operations Command can confirm that a member of Joint Task Force 2 successfully hit a target at 3,540 metres,†the forces said in a statement. “For operational security reasons and to preserve the safety of our personnel and our Coalition partners we will not discuss precise details on when and how this incident took place.â€

Dubose and Rowe then fled into a wooded area and made their way to another nearby home. However, when the homeowner saw the inmates in his driveway, he held them at gunpoint and called his neighbor over for assistance. The two held the inmates at gunpoint until authorities arrived a short time later.
