National African American Gun Association
From WSVN:
David Lozandier, gun owner: “What I got out of it is understanding the importance of being a legal gun owner, especially a black legal gun owner at that.â€

Supreme Court To Hear NY Gun Case
From The Truth About Guns:
The Second Amendment Foundation today cheered the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to move forward with a case that challenges a New York City gun law that was so restrictive the city amended it, and then tried to get the high court to dismiss the case.
“We’re delighted that the Supreme Court will move this important case forward,†said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “The Second Amendment Foundation has filed an amicus brief in support of overturning this egregious attempt to infringe on the right to keep and bear arms. We are confident that the high court will ultimately rule in favor of Second Amendment rights.â€
UK Now Wants To Ban Knives
From Reason:
Despite a host of legal restrictions on firearms and knives, not to mention a society that increasingly resembles a panopticon in the thoroughness of the surveillance to which it’s subjected, the U.K.’s crime rates remain stubbornly resistant to reduction. Last year, London’s murder rate briefly overtook that of New York City—a feat likely to be repeated as crime continues its decline in the U.S.—and the latest U.K. figures show an increase in violent crimes committed with both guns and knives.
So, do right-thinking Britons propose loosening the country’s tight rules regarding self-defense so that people can more easily deal with two-legged predators? Hell, no. Instead, they want to ban pointy knives. Yes, really—churchmen, physicians, judges, and lawmakers want to tightly restrict or completely outlaw the possession of knives with sharp ends.
Op-Ed Thinks More Freedom Is A Step Backward
From Gainesville.com:
The bill would also reverses a law passed in the wake of the deadly Parkland shooting — allowing those under 21 to legally purchase weapons again.
Finally, perhaps the most dangerous proposal: that of what’s called “reciprocity.†It would require Florida to recognize concealed weapons licenses and prerogatives from all other states, including those with stauncher or looser requirements.
Carry Permits At Record High
From Guns.com:
The 62-page report, compiled by the Crime Prevention Research Center, shows that 1.4 million more permits and carry licenses were issued in the last year, bringing the number of active holders to some 18.66 million. This represents an 8 percent growth from 2018’s figures and a serious 304 percent increase since 2007.
Australia Gun Control Not Going As Planned
From Bearing Arms:
Gun ownership has increased over the past 20 years, with roughly 3.2 million firearms in circulation, according to gunpolicy.org, and recent reports have shown that gun owners now have more guns — about 3.9 guns each compared with 2.1 guns in 1997.

Gun-free Zone Liability Law
From Michigan Capitol Confidential:
State Rep. Gary Eisen, R-St. Clair Township, introduced House Bill 4975, which would revoke governmental immunity from lawsuits arising from injuries sustained on government property where guns are banned. Eisen is also the sponsor of House Bill 4976, which would make a government, business or individual that designates a property a gun-free zone responsible for the safety of individuals who enter it.

Come And Take It
From The Daily Wire:
No. I will not oblige. My staggeringly awesome so-called “assault weapon,” replete as it is with multiple sights, numerous “high-capacity” magazines, and hundreds and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, is the ultimate guardian of my life and liberty. It is, in Kozinski’s “doomsday” scenario, the final fail-safe mechanism that, if all else were to fail in America and tyranny or anarchy were to reign, still gives me a chance to defend home, hearth, family, and self. It is the weapon that the Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, much like oppressed people living under totalitarian regimes the whole world over, wished they could have had. Such weapons are — here, there, and everywhere — the ultimate guardians of a citizenry’s freedom.
Academic Paper Re-examines The Second Amendment
From David T. Hardy:
This article proposes third approach, which is better founded in the historical record. The militia clause and the right to arms clause are completely separate concepts. They have different origins, one looking back to the Renaissance, the other forward to the Enlightenment. In 1787-91 they largely had different constituencies: some Americans were concerned that the new Congress would neglect the militia, others that it might disarm the people. For most of this period, drafters of State declarations of rights, or of proposals for a Federal bill of rights, chose either to praise the militia as an institution, or to guarantee an individual right to arms, but never both.
The People Are Stopping Gun Control
From The Federalist:
Speculations about defeating “the NRA†may titillate the mob, but even if NRA disappeared overnight, there are still 100 million gun owners, their family members, and their friends. Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election because he won “swing states†Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Florida, all of which have large populations of gun owners. If gun control supporters achieve their goals, it will be because gun owners are complacent or don’t understand the details and ramifications of what Democrats are demanding, not because of rumors about the NRA.
