Safe Students Act
From Guns.com:
The Safe Students Act, first announced in 2007 by U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, has been rebooted by Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie this week and re-introduced with seven co-sponsors. The move would repeal the 30-year-old “no guns allowed†zone around public, private, and parochial elementary and high schools nationwide. Backers argue the bill is needed to allow local governments and school boards to set their own firearms policy without Washington red tape.

California Bans Lead Ammo For Hunting
As a reminder to anyone hunting in California this year, the state’s full lead ammunition ban will take effect July 1. California’s lead ammo ban, which was officially signed as a new law in 2013, required the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to gradually build up to a full prohibition.
Pennsylvania Strengthens 2nd/4th Amendments
From National Review:
Unless a police officer has prior knowledge that a specific individual is not permitted to carry a concealed firearm, and absent articulable facts supporting reasonable suspicion that a firearm is being used or intended to be used in a criminal manner, there simply is no justification for the conclusion that the mere possession of a firearm, where it lawfully may be carried, is alone suggestive of criminal activity.
More Federal Lands Open For Hunting
From Guns.com:
The proposed rule would include big changes such opening Green Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Wisconsin to hunting and fishing for the first time and opening of Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge in Wyoming to deer and elk hunting for the first time. Other facilities would see smaller expansions with the net result of some 1.4 million new acres of public land opened for access to sportsmen.

This week the campaign website for presidential hopeful Joe Biden published what it called an “Education … Plan for Educators, Students, and Our Future.†Among its agenda items was to “[d]efeat the National Rifle Association†by “championing legislation to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines – bans [Biden] authored in 1994.†In other words, Biden would reprise a law that was widely recognized (including among gun control advocates) as a failure and the cause of his party losing control of Congress in 1994.
