Beto: Confiscation and Registration
The Democrats have been gas-lighting gun owners for years claiming confiscation and registration were “crazy” fears.

“This is a country that has produced the leadership that will ensure that we not only have universal background checks and red flag laws and end the sale of those weapons of war, but that we go the necessary steps further as politically difficult as they may be,” O’Rourke explained. “A gun registry in this country, licensing for every American who owns a firearm and every single one of those AR15s and AK47s will be bought back so they’re not on our streets, not in our homes, do not take the lives of our fellow Americans.”

So how has that worked out? Well, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s conservative estimate, New Yorkers owned about 1 million “assault weapons” at the time the ban was passed. So the 44,000 that were actually registered are about 4 percent of the total. This noncompliance with the law is widespread and mostly open, but the police aren’t doing much about it.
I could give several more examples of such reporting. But the upshot is that gun owners are overwhelmingly ignoring the law—and the police are overwhelmingly looking the other way.
Dems Threaten To Change Supreme Court If Decisions Don’t Go Their Way

In 2017, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., accused President Donald Trump of showing “a disdain for an independent judiciary that doesn’t always bend to his wishes†after Trump criticized a federal judge who ruled against his administration. Senate Democrats, by contrast, have launched an unprecedented attempt to actually bend the Supreme Court to their wishes — threatening to restructure the court if the justices do not rule as they see fit.
Walmart Stops Selling Most Popular Guns

The move came in an open letter to company employees by Doug McMillon, president and chief executive officer of Walmart, which operates more than 5,000 store locations nationwide. Out, after selling through current stocks, is handgun ammunition and “short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber that, while commonly used in some hunting rifles, can also be used in large capacity clips on military-style weapons.â€
Couple Thinks Walmart Is Responsible For Their Security

A Texas couple who were injured in a mass shooting at a Walmart store in El Paso last month recently filed a lawsuit against the corporation alleging it did not have adequate security in place to prevent the attack that killed 22 people.
Trump Leaning Towards New Gun Laws

“We’re doing a package,” he told reporters. “….’That’s irrespective of what happened yesterday in Texas.” He was referring to a mass shooting in which a gunman killed at least seven people and wounded 22 around Odessa. This followed other recent mass shootings in August, including one in El Paso, Texas and another in Dayton, Ohio.

This has to stop. I’m proposing that we campaign to reduce gun violence, and to meet our constitutional duty, by requiring that every member of the militia — which, of course, we’ll redefine to eliminate the obvious sexism and make it all adults — must own at least one long gun, one handgun, and 1,000 rounds of ammunition for each, or pay an annual $1,000 tax for failing to do so. As I pointed out the last time I brought this up, the Supreme Court’s decision on Obamacare makes it clear that it’s constitutional to require people to buy a product, so that shouldn’t be a problem. And, federal law would override the local laws in rogue cities like Chicago that prevent members of the militia from fulfilling their constitutional duty.

The cheap revolvers called “Saturday night specials†ruled the night in many cities.
