Biden’s Schizophrenic Gun Policies
From Bearing Arms:
The lesson that most of the radical left seems to be missing when it comes to the war in Ukraine, the alleged war crimes, and any possible cure people may get, is that there’s a whole lot of precaution that could have been exercised to stave off such an invasion. Conceivably, the “supermarket” status of Ukraine’s black market arms cache is what can be attributed to some of the level of “success” the Ukrainians have in keeping Russian forces somewhat at bay.
The disarmament policies of the Biden-Harris administration, inclusive of their Department of Justice, are exactly what’s needed to create a population that’s ripe for being rolled over by tanks. If Garland and the rest of the swamp critters were really genuine, they’d look inward and say “Ya know, we don’t want this happening here, so perhaps it’s best to arm and train our people.” No such utterance would come from the party of civil-liberty usurpation.
A Slow Economy May Cause Businesses To Be More Acommodating
From The Truth About Guns:
Now, we’re seeing that FedEx is falling on hard times, with their stock tumbling last week (UPS stock took a hit, too). This obviously wasn’t caused by their newly restrictive “ghost gun” policies, as that revenue is a tiny fraction of a rounding error to a company like FedEx. But it does signal a tightening economy and possibly a further downturn that could put all kinds of businesses in a difficult position.
Texas Judge Says Felons Still Have Gun Rights
From Texas Tribune:
U.S. District Judge David Counts, appointed by former President Donald Trump to Texas’ western federal district, found that a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling from June invalidates federal law which prohibits those charged with a felony from obtaining a gun. It was not immediately clear if the ruling would be appealed.
MTG Tells Activists To Move To Another Country
From Bearing Arms:
“Like I said, you guys should move to some country where you can’t have guns,” she shouted. “The whole world is an all-you-can-eat buffet of governments. Move to one that fits your beliefs.”
NY Counties Oppose New Gun Laws
From Bearing Arms:
In Niagara County, the county legislature this week approved without dissent a resolution opposing the new laws, but also calling for the county to adopt “whatever legislative and legal remedies are necessary and appropriate, including working in coalition with other counties, to overturn the state law.” It’s a move backed not only by the county lawmakers, but local law enforcement as well.
Merchant Code Is A First Step To Gun Registry
From The Truth About Guns:
Andrew Ross Sorkin, a New York Times columnist who proposed this idea years ago, penned a column outlining the “next steps.” That revealed that the pressure campaign by federal lawmakers, state attorneys general, state lawmakers and activist banks on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to create a unique MCC for gun retailers was just the beginning.
DC Backs Down On Ammo Limit
From The Truth About Guns:
The District was coming up on the date by which the city had to respond to the lawsuit, justifying the 20-round limit. It seems that the city’s attorneys couldn’t manage to come up with an argument that wouldn’t have been laughed out of court under Bruen.
Given the current legal landscape, as Rob Romano reported last night, the city threw in the towel and used “emergency rulemaking” powers to repeal the 20-round limit.
Anti-Gun Democrat Had Two Guns Stolen
From LA Times:
Bass said she had the guns for protection. She said they were registered and stored in a lockbox that was “stashed” in a closet. The Times previously reported that the container was a Brink’s lockbox.
You Can’t Ban The Human Mind
From The Truth About Guns:
It’s been less than a month since new federal rules took effect attempting to rein in the proliferation of so-called “ghost guns,” a catchall term for unserialized, home-built firearms that Democratic leaders, law enforcement officials, and gun control groups say are turning up in the hands of criminals across the United States.
But barely a few weeks into the new regulatory regime, the firearms industry has already adapted and scored an early legal victory. And gun enthusiasts have created and released open-source blueprints for a simple plastic tool that offers a relatively quick, easy—and apparently legal—workaround for anyone who still wants to build an untraceable weapon.
Retailers And Employees Want More Armed Security
From MSN:
While a national debate rages over whether armed guards should be stationed at public places like schools, retailers around the country are beefing up armed security presence in stores, mostly using ex-police and military. Since July 2021, there’s been a 108% increase in demand for armed guards at grocery stores, according to Allied Universal, one of the world’s largest security staffing firms, which works with many of the nation’s biggest retailers and shopping malls.
UPS Continues Its Attack On The Gun Industry
From Ammoland:
UPS has stepped up its anti-gun campaign by requiring online sellers to ship an average of 50 handguns daily to use its 2nd Day Air service.
Sellers who do not ship at least 350 handguns a week risk losing their shipping accounts. Under the new agreement, UPS is only required to give customers a ten-day notice before cutting them off from the shipping service. The volume necessary means that most online retailers and manufacturers are now cut off from shipping guns through the carrier unless the handgun is shipped using the expensive Next Day Air service.
