Does Anyone Care About The Jan 6 Pipe Bomber?

Yet the lone example of a very clearly premeditated attempt at violence on Jan. 6 has been nearly completely wiped from the memory of the American public. The pipe bombs discovered at the RNC and DNC aren’t mentioned in the press’s “remembrance†coverage of the day, and the federal government has hardly offered any updates on the investigation since releasing footage of the suspect, who was covered head to toe in dark clothing. Even the Jan. 6 commission, which has gone to great lengths to obtain the phone records of private citizens, doesn’t seem interested in pursuing the person behind the explosives.
The Myth Of Lone Wolf Terrorism

In a liberal society, it is appealing to think of suspects of Islamist terror as solitary actors. As a matter of principle, we uphold the importance of individual freedoms, rights, and responsibilities, while our judicial system assumes that individuals are responsible for their actions. We also recognise the importance of not maligning an entire community because of the extremist views of a few of their fellow believers. This is particularly crucial when the historical relationship between a particular minority and their new country is fraught with memories of colonialism.
But while individuals responsible for terrorist attacks may conduct their attacks alone, they still emerge out of communities or networks of like-minded individuals, whether in-person or online. They learn from teachers, imams or instructors the radical ideas that inspire their violence. This is not to say that their entire family or community is extremist — only that these individuals find and are exposed to people who are. Little is known about the background of the murder suspect, Ali, but we can be certain that if found guilty, he would not have plunged a knife into a total stranger, possibly picked at random, wholly of his own accord. Someone or some group would have inspired these actions.

Rubio Proposes Anti Gun Bill

Individuals, the legislation states, do not have to be guilty for the FBI director and the Joint Terrorism Task Force to be alerted when they attempt to purchase or receive a transferred firearm. The U.S. attorney general is also notified and retains the power to stall the process for up to 10 business days and file an emergency petition to halt the gun procedure until a court can rule on it as long as the individual is notified.

Imam Suspended From Twitter For Anti-Terror Meme

The Imam of Peace, Imam Tawhidi, has been locked out of Twitter for ridiculing an Islamic extremist organization. On April 2, Tawhidi posted a meme that took aim at Tablighi Jamaat, a group based in India that is tied to Al-Qaeda terrorists. The cartoon Tawhidi posted shows a man wearing a suicide bomb on the left panel, and that same man wearing a bomb of coronavirus particles on the right side. Tawhidi was asked to remove this image or suffer permanent Twitter account deactivation. He has declined to remove the tweet.
