When and How To Teach Your Kid About Guns

From The Truth About Guns:

My homeschooled kids could play with the guns anytime they wished…on my terms. That meant that I was always present, the weapons had been thoroughly cleared and there was no ammunition anywhere nearby. By their seventh birthdays my children could field strip and reassemble a Kalashnikov rifle blindfolded.

FBI Claims White Supremacists Working With Islamists

From Ammoland:

The FBI defines RMVEs as “those that advocate for the superiority of the White race.” The document claims that Islamic “Foreign Terrorist Organizations” (FTOs) are likely discouraged from working with RMVEs due to distrust, but the FBI claims that some RMVEs are sympathetic to Islamists and want to pursue alliances with these groups. It seems like the FBI thinks these groups believe in the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” strategy. The FBI states that both RMVEs and FTOs are brought together by their anti-Semitism and their opposition to liberal Western democracy.

The FBI claims that RMVEs have sought an alliance with Islamic extremists to speed up the collapse of Western society through violence.

Maine Bans Firearms Training

From Guns.com:

Mills last week signed into law a proposal, LD 2130, that makes it a Class D crime to conduct “unauthorized paramilitary training” in the state. The bill had been sent to the Democrat governor’s desk in a 20-14 vote by the state Senate and a narrow 72-71 roll call in the state House. While the law makes it a crime to gather and provide firearms or explosives instruction when ” training or demonstrating is intended to be used by the other person in or in furtherance of civil disorder,” the fuzzy language raised a flag with some as being too broad.

Carrying In A National Park Is Still Confusing

From The Truth About Guns:

Sadly, visitors still face a bit of a minefield. While you can lawfully carry in a national park according to the laws of the state the park is in, “federal facilities” within the parks are still off limits. This basically means any building in which NPS personnel work, so the visitor center, many bathrooms and showers, and even some hotels are off limits. Worse, the National Park Service has stretched the reasonable definition of “building” to include natural structures like the caves at Carlsbad Caverns.
